Brilliant Spa & Massage
Pros:

I had the best experience at the Aheli Spa. The spa’s atmosphere was calm, the staff were very welcoming and attentive, and the massage was relaxing. I would definitely recommend Aheli Spa!

Zentrales Hotel in Reading, dringende Modernisierung nötig.
Pros:

Lage sehr gut, zentral.
Erhielt ein Upgrade, was sehr toll war.
Bequemes Bett. Grosses Zimmer.

Cons:

Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr düster und dunkel eingerichtet. Kaum Tageslicht. Der Lift war die gesamte Zeit defekt. Das Bad war eher schmuddelig und veraltet. Der Lavabo-Abfluss war andauernd verstopft. Nur eine Steckdose funktionierte. Frühstück mittelmässig, wenig Auswahl. Kaffee ungeniessbar. Speisen waren sehr überzuckert, kaum gesundes frisches Essen. Personal hatte Mühe mit Englisch.

Not the 5* we hoped for our anniversary
Pros:

It seemed like a lovely 5 star hotel. However, it seems a little over sold. These are the reasons why: The hotel is a bit tired, the rug in iur room was stained, we booked a suite for our anniversary but I've had bigger rooms in a chain hotel.
The lack of plugs into the room, the curtains barely closed, advertised as the room had AC but in fact it was a dyson fan which came on a random times, there was some sort of feature buttons in the bathroom by the toilet that was broken and didn't work and the shower head in the bath didn't work either. We found out on the day that the lift wasn't working, and whilst we appreciate a good walk being on the second floor and breakfast in the basement, it was quite the trek.
Such a shame as we had high hopes of being a beautiful and special suite for our anniversary.
Not the 5* we paid for sadly. A real shame as a great location and has great potential.

Excellent stay!
Pros:

The reception staff were very professional and accommodating. The Porter was incredibly polite, professional, helpful and warm

Cons:

I think you should consider putting air conditioning units in all the rooms and toilet brushes in the bathrooms.

Its really worth the stay!
Pros:

beautiful property! very well maintained considering its historical nature. excellent location, a few blocks from Reading Train Station, so getting into London was a easy!!! Staff, food and restaurant were all amazing. You get a very special feeling of a close knit community of staff that care very much about their work and guests. I plan to return anytime I need to stay in the Reading area.

This Hotel is A Good Base to used for the train for daily excursions.
Pros:

We loved our room; it was very large and spacious, and we loved that. The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet in the area we were in, and there was no noise at all. It was in the building behind the older building of the hotel. We thought it could have had a better heating system; we literally froze the first night. We figured out to turn it on higher early in the day and get it warmed for the night. The refrigerator was not cold at all; it is only a wine or drink cooler that did not work. Our main reason to stay here si because I had a doctor appointment. I wanted a refrigerator to keep my medicine cool. The main building is beautiful. We felt like the room service did an excellent job cleaning our room. One thing that creeped me out is they have huge rats in the parking lot. The Forbury Gardens are beautiful and the Abbey ruins too. The restaurant next door is excellent. We never ate in the restaurant. We loved the location because it is not far from the train station. We used this hotel as a base to get around Oxford, Bath, the Cotswolds etc..
