Came home yesterday from our little break here, absolutely gorgeous hotel, staff very friendly. My hubby booked this for my birthday we stayed in the lady of the manor room it was beautiful with stunning views of the lakes, breakfast delicious with plenty of choice i would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely return
Lovely hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The outside seating area was beautiful and offered amazing views. Breakfast was great and there was plenty of choice for all.
Nothing.
Beautiful period property in a fantastic location, just a short walk from the town centre. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, making it a great base for exploring Windermere.
The only downside was the noise from dogs barking throughout our stay, including late into the evening and during the night. Unfortunately, it did disturb our sleep and took away slightly from what was otherwise a very enjoyable stay.
All the staff was excellent and the cap that did the breakfast every morning and showed you to your tablet was excellent with my wife she's as arthritis and not good on her feet he helped her a lot please wil I let him know thanks 👍👍
Nothing at all
Very clean and very friendly staff
Nothing
Location and views.
Decent parking.
Wonderful breakfast.
Location perfect, breakfast very good
Room small, ensuite very snug, hotel website states restaurant, would be helpful if it shows clearly they only serve breakfast!!
Excellent location. 15 min walk to busy areas in both directions. Breakfast was superb! The fresh cookies in the room was also a very lovely touch particularly enjoyed by our 3 year old.
We were in the family room 105. The room was lovely but it was right by the out of hour entrance and appeared to be the only room in that area which was a little nosy at times. It would be better if the “children’s room” was the room furthest from the door as every time I almost got my 3rd old to sleep someone would walk in and be noisy. With it being on the ground floor of a very old hotel on a steep hill the room also made me feel a little dizzy when getting out of bed or up from a chair ect with it being on a slant. This is not something I’d experienced before and didn’t affect the rest of my family but as soon as we left the hotel room it went.
Pit stop on the way down to Bowness for some refreshment whilst sitting on the terrace with a view to the lake in the distance, great spot.
Beautiful setting, lovely breakfast and really helpful staff
No mini fridge in room and no bottled water which I would have expected from a hotel like this
Location is good
WiFi is so weak, hard to contact.room is unclean.
