Beautiful scenery and love the conservatory
Small room that could do with updating
I did not avail myself of the dinner or breakfast as I had made other plans but both were offered to me ahead of time.
Although I had booked a room for one adult for one night there was a double bed and refreshments enough for two.
In terms of the bathroom, again it was a very good size offering a combination bath and shower facilities.
There was nothing I didn't like
Il giardino e le parti esterne.
Le camere troppo piccole.
Stunning hotel beautiful surroundings. Plenty of parking . Friendly staff . We didn't really use facilities such as breakfast or lunch restaurant. However it did look nice . Lovely seating area outside overlooking views . Room serviced daily and topped up refreshments.
Would definitely return .
I would say I didn't like it. It was just an observation that rooms look like they could do with some improvement. Especially bathroom sink taps and shower head look rusty as well as the bathroom radiator. However it was clean . TV had wires all hanging down behind wall mount. The room had a small refrigerator that was randomly placed just on the floor on entrance.
It was in a lovely countryside location, the room had aircon. The breakfast was good.
The room was quite small, not much room at the side of the bed. Room had no fridge.
Real Old house
The house was maintained as if the hotel is not making money. Lighting in the lift were not working properly, lift looks cheap (loud), telephone in the room cannot even reach the reception - not sure there’s always no reception or the phone is always out of order.
Lovely location near enough to M4 to break the journey. Friendly and helpful staff. Dinner menu OK (but not worth travelling for). Good breakfast buffet.
The room was just big enough to hold the double bed!
Location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Room far too small. Had we been large people it would not have been manageable.
Lovely hotel with really nice surroundings. Staff were outstanding, but they really need a new chef, the food was not good. And they drastically need to reduce the prices of their drinks, a complete rip off
Clean & very comfortable
N/a
While the property is located in beautiful and perfect surroundings, I feel there are several areas that do not reflect a 4-star standard.
First, the rooms were far too small for two people, leaving very little space to move. Although clean for the most part, there were numerous cobwebs, and the furniture and fittings were either faulty or in poor condition. These issues could be easily rectified with more attention from housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Additionally, the carpets along the first-floor corridors were stained and look very dated.
Regarding the restaurant, while the food itself was very good, I was surprised that a 4-star establishment serves condiments in plastic sachets. Furthermore, the staff began setting up the restaurant for breakfast while guests were still finishing their evening meals, which felt inappropriate for the setting.
Overall, while it is a lovely location, the current experience aligns more with a 2- or 3-star hotel, not the 4-star advertised.
