Courtyard by Marriott San Luis Obispo

The location was a little out of the way, shops and restaurants were not far. Breakfast was available on site and very tasty, also have a bar on site - nice touch. Gym was available, clean and had enough equipment for most workouts. Outdoor pool was available and looked good bt was not used. Bed, pillows and linen was clean and comfortable. Room was well furnished - chair with ottoman, pull out desk on wheels with computer chair and wardrobe with hangars. Room had plenty of electrical outlets and USB plugs for all electrical needs of multiple guests. Bathroom included shower gel, shampoo and conditioner in the shower and small hand soaps at the sink. There were extra large towels, hand towels and washclothes readily stocked and there was plenty of space in the bathroom. Water pressure was okay and warm water was readily available. Parking was available, but not very convienent. Parking wrapped around the building, but access to the hotel and elevators was not close to most of the back half of the parking lot. So, could be a pretty long walk to the main entrance, then to the elevator and around to the room - circle inside a circle. We booked on a third-party site (Tripadvisor) and parking was included per the reservation. Unfortunately, not once but twice the front desk attempted to charge a $15 fee for parking on-site. This is becoming more prevalent lately at many hotels and is frankly unaccepable to me.

The place is too noisy for light sleepers. There is noise from the hallway, the HVAC and the road outside. My request for a room away from the road (that I made a month in advance) was ignored. I am doubtful that this place has any quiet rooms at all.

Also the front desk is inadequately staffed for peak times so check in time is long.

I stayed here recently because I had a good experience here four years ago. Once again it was great. Clean, quiet, good amenities, nice staff. Easy to park, check in, unload, etc. The rooms are really cool, attractive and lots of storage space, shelves and features. The only thing they need to do is make sure they complete all the minor maintenance issues. Like, make sure there is hand sanitizer in the dispensers, and replace burned-out light bulbs. One elevator was down also, leading to minor delays. To the manager and owner - You are on the verge of GREATNESS here! Don't let it slip away. Just put a FEW bucks into this hotel and fix the small issues. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

It was quiet I loved the shower easy access to freeway. And near downtown SLO. It was quiet.

This is a beautiful motel with comfy rooms, a nice shower, and a wonderful pool area.

The receptionist at the front desk was so nice and friendly. The room was very nice very clean. Check in and check out was very easy. Loved that they had a Starbucks in the hotel lobby that we could purchase coffee in the morning.

The hotel was very nice,clean,great staff especially the bar tender. Loved the heated pool and jacuzzi.... The room was nice, clean. 3 stars

The Location was good, close to 101 hwy, and Avila and/or Pismo beach. The facility was clean and well maintained.
