Convenient location as we were attending The theatre at the mill.
Clean hotel with good facilities and parking.
We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary which the hotel was aware of on booking but didn't even receive a wishing or acknowledgement which we found very disappointing and it made us and our celebration feel underwhelmed.
The breakfast was awful we both ordered a full fry with fried egg.
Both of our eggs were not cooked.
They were raw and slimy all around the yolk, the half tomato wasn't cooked it was just flash seared on the top only and hard as a brick with steamed grey horrible mushrooms, steamed hard bacon and salty sausages with soggy undercooked hash browns.
We were really looking forward to a good breakfast but sadly this wasn't the case.
The property was clean , updated with great cosy bar and restaurant, we booked the function room for a 60th Birthday party and the staff were incredible and helped us make this a party to remember , anything we asked for and always with a smile the tips were payed in sweets from the sweet table , I highly recommend the hotel for beautiful accommodation and wonderful staff , we’re were lucky to get Barney the resident DJ for our entertainment and such a fun night it was , dancing, laughter and good memories 🥰
Room was spacious and comfortable, dinner menu choice was very good, and excellently served. Car parking was easy.

Perfect location
Das Zimmer war geräumig und das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit. Parkplätze gibt es dort genügend und kostenlos. Das Abendessen in der Bar war toll, auch dort war das Personal sehr aufmerksam. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, es gab für jeden etwas.
Mir fällt nichts ein.
All staff were amazing - poor planning meant your man on reception the night I arrived was run ragged by a group of footballers so I had to wait 15 mins to get into my room (this was after an hour delay in my flight so gone midnight), so I was a bit grumpy on arrival - he was charm itself when he finally got to me, so all understandable and all good.
We were running a conference the next day so a welcome breakfast was had after a lovely nights sleep in a lovely bedroom.
Shaun (or Sean) our hotel representative for the day made sure all the provisions were there, ready and he pre-empted everything before it happened. There was also care and attention given to our delegates with dietary requirements. Again - Shaun/Sean was a godsend.
The Wi-Fi was dreadful - sadly the connections disrupted our conference as it kept dropping out so we lost the international speakers. Not ideal. This was handled really well by the staff.
The hotel was beautiful clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

A place I had never been despite driving past regularly. Was given a voucher for my birthday and thought let's go on a Sunday afternoon. We went to the main walk in restaurant where you don't prebook. I had a mixed grill which I haven't had in years and the wife salmon. The portion sizes are fantastic. The size of the salmon was the largest we had ever seen in a restaurant and she who must be obeyed said it was so lightl and tender. My mixed grill was brilliant. We don't usually do desserts but looked at the menu and thought why not. Brilliant friendly staff, tasty food, large portions and very reasonably priced. Going to be calling in more often
