Not meeting expectations of a 5 star hotel
Pros:

The breakfast was delicious. The room was spacious with an extra large bed.

Cons:

The room was filled with dust. The bathroom door was not closing and the lock had been broken. The staff had very grim expressions which were not welcoming and when spoken with the staff for concerns were not friendly. Booked a non-smoking room, however the cigarette smell was coming very strongly though the air-conditioner, which made the stay uncomfortable for a while. The staff would charge you more than the booking.com price for the booked package.

a welcoming hotel in Colombo
Pros:

Breakfast was a wide range of foods and a great introduction to the flavours of Sri Lanka. The room was very comfortable and a view over the Indian Ocean. The lunch time and dinner time restaurants were incredible and reasonably priced including the Yum Char, seafood buffet and the Coffee Shop. The Hotel is conveniently placed in the city with all its attractions including the old dutch hospital precinct and its myriad of shops and eating places, the Cross streets, and the Port.
The staff of the Hotel were very well trained and attentive and pleasant. It was an enjoyable stay.

Pros:

I really enjoyed my stay. The location was excellent and very convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant experience, and I would definitely recommend this place.
