Wish we had more time, beautiful gardens, sprawling hotel,
Pros:

Location, panmen area nice, noodle restaurant. Rooms especially bathrooms were well designed. Art beautiful. Two ladies at concierge -
Jiang and also lady who help me pack a fragile object were great. Signs and info good.

Cons:

Better English capabilities would be preferred.

Really Nice Hotel
Pros:

We Loved our beautiful garden room. It was stunning and restful. The hotel is very large with several pocket gardens where we took lots of photos. The staff helped us reach some lovely gardens and scenic areas in Suzhou. We ate twice at the Italian restaurant, Sun Rays, with impeccable service and quality. Don't miss the 7:30 pm
show at Panmen garden --wow! The entire garden is lighted. It's very special

Cons:

The breakfast was not that good for such a quality hotel. Coffee was cool out of the machine. Only cold milk provided, not hot. The breakfast goodies were bland and recycledfrom the previous day. We were apparently too early one morning for an omelet. The next morning, the designated omelet cook seemed unwilling but eventually turn out decent ones
The other restaurant was also very disappointing with food quality.

Old school splendor with magnificent gardens!
Pros:

We love this old school hotel with its beautiful architecture and magnificent gardens. Each time we stay here there is something interesting happening and it continues to amaze us just how beautiful the surroundings are. There is a great bakery just along the road where you can get takeout and the sushi in the upstairs bar is amazing!

Perfekt mit Abstrichen.
Pros:

Es war sehr sauber - Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr umfangreich und geschmacklich nahezu perfekt.

Cons:

Es gab Personal welches wirklich sehr bemüht war es gab aber auch Mitarbeitende die eher lustlos unterwegs waren.

Posizione perfetta, all'interno dell'area scenica Panmen, giardino meraviglioso e vicinissimo al fiume.

Pros:

The decor of the hotel and its history are unique. The hotel is immersed in the garden with pavilions, streams and very oriental landscape. We love that. The free hanfu costume rental service for guests is thoughtful, though we did not have time for that. The direct access from the hotel to Panmen is great!

Cons:

The interior of the rooms in the garden wing is dated and we wished the lights in the room is brighter. The wooden interior plus the warm orange lights makes it rather dim at night. We wish the service is better - from online communication to service at the hotel. To be fair, a few of the staff at the front desk and concierge are friendly and helpful, eg. Karen (who walked us through the historical tour of the hotel) and a small handful of others.

Wonderful Chinese garden.
Pros:

Super beautiful garden. You can visit the scenic gardens for unlimited times during your stay. And it is basically the back garden of the hotel. Super friendly staff. There is light show of the pagoda at 9pm. Super convenient location!

Excellent! This will be our one and only choice every time we visit Suzhou!
Pros:

The park setting and ambience are simply exceptional! We truly loved, loved the fact that the PanMen Scenic Spot is literally in our backyard! Attached 2 photos of the PanMen for your viewing pleasure. The restaurants are also simply outstanding
