My companion and I spent a very comfortable and enjoyable stay in the hotel: he liked the gym!
Pros:

The staff were very helpful with my checking out (when I forgot my laptop was on my arm!) and triple checking I'd left nothing else - I had!
Also, when my room card failed to activate, the young concierge explained how to make it work better!

Cons:

It is always annoying when you get to your room (on the 5th floor) and the room card won't work. But see above!

Top mitten in der Stadt München und dennoch im Grünen.
Pros:

Top Service, Tiefgarage (wenn noch mal schnell was aus dem Auto zu holen ist), zentrale Lage in München und dennoch „im Grünen“. 👍

Cons:

Nichts, alles wie erwartet in Ordnung.

Overall a lovely stay at a very nice hotel with great staff
Pros:

Wonderful facilities and lovely rooms. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful

Cons:

Having arrived after 3pm we waited for over an hour for our rooms which was very frustrating and although the staff were delightful it was disappointing. Small things like water glasses not being replaced in the rooms each day and for some reason coffee at breakfast consistently taking an eternity were small annoyances but unexpected at a Rocco Forte hotel. That said at all times the staff were marvellous.

Great stay not long enough.
Pros:

Staff very helpful. Good room facilities and clean comfortable bed. We only stayed one night so didnt get a lot of time to use facilities unfortunately. Hotel for a drink and snack was really nice.

Cons:

Small stain on carpet on entry to our room which we would not have expected for a hotel of this level. Otherwise everything else was clean and lovely.

An exceptional 5-star stay — service and suite beyond expectations
Pros:

We just returned from a truly memorable stay at The Charles Hotel. From the moment we arrived until our departure, the staff took care of us with genuine warmth and attentiveness — the kind of service that makes a stay unforgettable. A nice touch: being able to reach the concierge directly via WhatsApp made communication easy and seamless throughout our stay.

Our suite, with its beautiful rotunda windows, was stunning — bright, elegant, and with a gorgeous view. Breakfast was equally impressive: a truly delicious and generous spread that set us up perfectly for the day.

Dinner at Florio restaurant was a real highlight of our stay: the soft ambiance and carefully chosen music turned a simple dinner into an intimate, romantic evening.

The location, quiet yet close to the Old Botanical Garden and Königsplatz, is a real plus.

A hotel that fully lives up to its 5-star reputation. We will definitely be back!

Le centre de Munich dans un écrin luxueux au calme.
Pros:

La Suite Junior avec les fenêtres en rotonde, le petit-déjeuner et le restaurant Le Florio avec ses grands oliviers en pots dans la salle double hauteur.

Cons:

La mauvaise signalisation en allemand à l’e tree de la rue en sens interdit qui mène à l’entrée principale de l’hôtel.

Superb hotel in the centre of Munich
Pros:

We stayed 4 nights in June 2026 on the 7th floor. The room and amenities were of a very high specification. The view was excellent and there was no traffic or disruptive noise whatsoever. The room was beautifully kept and the cleaning staff were wonderfully thoughtful and attentive to detail. Throughout the hotel staff were friendly, welcoming and professional. The location of the hotel is very central with easy walking to many shops and attractions. The Hauptbahnhof is only 5 mins walk which easily opens your options. There is a good quality tour company only 2 mins walk away. This is a superb hotel in every way and I would highly recommend it..

Es wäre schön gewesen wenn man in dieser Preiskategorie und wenn man es ankündigt hat, dass man um 12h schon bei nicht Auslastung des Hotels in das Zimmer gedurft hätte und nicht erst Punkt 15h. Sonst alles gut

Perfect deluxe 5 star hotel!
Pros:

An all round excellent hotel! Great rooms (we had a suite on the top floor), well designed, wonderful service, breakfast was large, delicious and healthy, great service in the restaurant, concierge was knowledgable, and helpful, spa was excellent and wonderful and great location! Would happily return to it.
