Truly dog friendly place! You do pay for it, but they clearly give a lot of consideration to actually making it an enjoyable stay with dogs rather then being made to feel like it’s some sort of inconvenience they are tolerating.
Massive room, really clean, patio doors to outside with somewhere to sit. Breakfast was lovely. 100% will be back.
Paying extra for parking just because I’m booking through here and not direct is a bit sharp, but we’ll overlook it.
Breakfast over at 9.15 is far too early at earliest it should not be over before 10.30 and 11 would be expected as with any other hotel where it either goes on to 11-11.30. I was speaking to quite a few people who attended sports event at university and it’s for that reason they did not book hotel. Each morning we had to rush breakfast at 7.15 to be ready to start sport in Lancaster sports centre by 8

We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. Although there is no lift, the staff offered to help us with our luggage several times, both from the car and up to our room. There was plenty of parking available, and the hotel is set in lovely green surroundings, making it a peaceful place to stay. We travelled with our two small dogs, who each received a welcome pack. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the restaurant served excellent food. The restaurant staff were also friendly and attentive during our meal.
The bathroom needed more attention to detail when it came to cleaning. There was mould under the bath handrail, on the sealant around the bath, and around both taps. The bathroom door was also dirty. We also felt that £30 per dog, per night was quite expensive, even though the welcome packs were a nice touch. In the restaurant, the food was excellent and the staff were friendly, but after we finished our dessert, it felt as though we had been forgotten about, as it took quite a while before anyone came back to ask if we wanted anything else or to bring us the bill.

The hotel is so dated. The rooms are tatty and grubby, the bathroom fans can’t be turned off and are extremely noisy, the beds are excessively firm and the pillows very thin.
The bar service was slow, despite it not being at all busy.
Breakfast was okay, choice was good and the service was quick enough.
Property is fine satisfactory facilities. The EV charging was total confusion and the staff had no idea
Only stayed here one night but would definitely come back. Hotel was clean, room spacious, restaurant food was good for dinner and breakfast, pool was lovely and warm! Also enjoyed the spa

I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and their friendly attitude toward their guests. The spa was a very relaxing place to unwind. The food was excellent with a good choice available at the bar, which as a solo traveller I felt more comfortable in that environment rather than the restaurant.

Really nice room. We had a free upgrade to a Residency room which was very spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing. It was absolutely fine if you wanted a cooked breakfast but was lacking in choice for a continental breakfast. I would have preferred more high fibre, healthy breakfast cereals and a better choice of fresh fruit. The choice of bread/rolls/pastries was poor.
Great location. Excellent design and layout. Extremely helpful late check in and daytime staff throughout. In reception, catering, bar and leisure there were no exceptions to a can do and friendly approach.
