We recently stayed at Rex Hotel Ho Chi Minh City and had a very enjoyable experience overall.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-maintained. The housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping our room clean and tidy throughout our stay. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and the hotel’s location is superb—right in the heart of the city and close to many attractions.
We particularly loved the swimming pool and steam room, which were great places to relax after a busy day exploring. The breakfast food was average, and the dining area became very crowded in the mornings, making it a little less enjoyable.
The only negative experience during our stay occurred when my husband arrived back at the hotel late one evening. As he did not have the room key with him, he needed assistance to access the room. Unfortunately, the staff member who escorted him seemed disappointed and displayed an attitude that my husband found unhelpful and frustrating.

You can make coffee in the room, but all options with sugar. Call and they could not offer sugar free coffee bags.
Music in the roof top bar is low quality, the music played is extremely out of date, sound system bad when you play loud with these two criteria’s is it worse. Many guest chose a table far away for the music like us.

Le petit déjeuner s’il est copieux n’est absolument pas continental
Bien que réserver une chambre premium, elle se trouvait au premier étage, donc pas de lumière extérieure d’autant plus qu’elle était sur une courette avec deux vis-à-vis donc on a gardé les rideaux de la chambre fermés

The location is excellent right in the heart city centre, there is a metro station just outside. There are shop and convenience stores just a few minutes walk. It also very close to the coffee apartment. It is a grand hotel only 5 level but the room is very spacious and clean.
Yes, there no extra power point on the beside unless you unplug the lamp, also no extra point at the desk and it look like pretty hard to move the desk to unplug the lamp as well to get to the power point. Some people complain about the out dated decor, but most old established hotel are like that unless they do a full renovation. Considering it is not a new fancy hotel everything hold up well.
