It was not what I expected from the service and room.
Pros:

The hotel is old and aristocratic, it has historical value,
I liked how the common areas and gardens are maintained, the location and neighborhood, the views

Cons:

First, the staff was quite cold and unfriendly, especially in the lobby bar,
Second the room was not as I expected, it smelled old and… my sheets were more than old and torn... they don't allow this even in three-star hotels:(with a sign posted..., please do not disturb - they entered my room - that was not at all correct, to invade my personal space…

Beautiful hotel amazing location

Cons:

Cleanses could be better, house keeping a little attention to detail on things like shower gels tubes when they run out. A little surface cleaning.

Pros:

Lovely view, comfortable beds, relaxing stay. Great sandwich in the bar and lovely meal in restaurant. Just what we needed.

Location was great, 20 min stroll via promenade to the city. Less than 10 to peninsula
Male on reception very welcoming and informative.
Stunning view from Terrace across the bay.
Old worldly hotel with nice bathroom with a lovely view, pity bedroom view didn't match.

Cons:

Service at terrace not great. One person working both days.
View from bedroom looking onto a carpark, but also directly into an apartment block so had keep light curtains closed, not 5* view.
Room needed a bit of tlc, example skirting board touch ups etc.
Bathrobes and towels need upgrading.

Exceptional hotel offering outstanding value for money.
Pros:

Fabulous hotel, great history. Views across the bay spectacular. Staff were very attentive.
Booked half-board, excellent value. Breakfast was very good and the evening meal was good quality and well presented.
Would definitely choose this hotel if staying in Santander.

Cons:

The gym was open and equipment was top of the range. However, the spa pool was not open and it would have been an additional treat to have used it.

Gran Edificio y vistas pero no es un 5 GL

El edificio es precioso con unas vistas increíbles. Mencion para el personal de recepcion y de la terraza muy amables.

Cons:

Principalmente no es un 5 estrellas gran lujo. Muy caro para la inversion que han realizado en las habitaciones (todavia se ven cosas muy viejas). El wifi era un absoluto desastre con una velocidad de entre 1 y 2 mgb, aunque a veces colapsaba por completo. No reponian las bebidas ( aguas) de un dia para otro y los amenities muy flojos.
