We loved the venue, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. It was spotless and the sauna/jacuzzi and steam room meant we didn’t even have to visit the spa. Food was fab also! Can’t wait to visit again.
Location was good, room was clean
Spa facilities, the reason we booked, were pretty underwhelming, treatments were extortionate and having to pay on top of a £190 per night booking to use the spa felt a bit of a con. Restaurant service was poor, items on the menu unavailable, food was mediocre and priced too high.
Lovely setting
The food
Everything! The breakfast was amazing.
Nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom ! Very low water pressure.
Breakfast was disappointing .
Breakfast
Room was lovely, SPA was very good, food was top notch in restaurant
Only downside was SPA was in a building about 150 metre walk from reception outside
Stayed for a wedding, lovely venue and very clean
Over priced for the room, we were situated right at the other side where the wedding was being held too, not worth hundreds of pounds to stay.
Beautiful hotel, loved the spa.
Food was great, rooms very clean, staff very nice
Alcohol was overpriced, think they take advantage of being some distance away from any town or village.
The location is just a parasite on the beautiful golf courses nearby. A lot of golfers think to book a nice hotel close to some famous golf courses but in reality the hotel is old fashioned, the rooms are very small with no ventilation or airco and just a 1 square meter window that only can be opened 20 cm.. the breakfast is a disaster. Very poor buffet no meat , no cheese. Coffee is black hot water and a capucchino in the morning is sold extra at 4.75 pounds 👀.
Very nice hotel, modern fresh decoration and facilities. Staff lovely especially the staff in coast restaurant and lovely lady freshening up rooms.
Whilst the arran suite was exceptionally nice. It was a bit strange looking over an area prepared for a wedding ceremony, with no other external view.
From the minute we walked in the door, the staff were so so friendly and welcoming. Everyone we met was so chatty and happy to help. We were really impressed with the staff. Beds were so comfy and the bathrooms were lovely and clean.
The quality of breakfast could have been a bit better. We also felt like it was quite expensive but I’m not sure if they were standard prices or just because of the wedding.
