Clean. and friendly staff
We were on the front near the highway and motorcycles were revving their engines up and down the road past 11 pm
Central, spacious, comfortable beds
Toilets are very short
Well located on waterfront and near to bars, cafes and restaurants, comfortable large room, nice front desk staff.
Breakfast was poor quality, cling film wrapped muffins, supermarket bought yogurt and mediocre coffee. Restaurant wasn't open so perhaps that's the explanation. Room cleaning could have been better. I usually don't quibble like this but the price I paid meant I expected more.
Location is fantastic. Right on Water street.
Rooms need updating. Bed, bedding pillows quite worn. Bathroom sink permanently stained. Old carpeting. Room tired. Needs a refresh.
Location, nice size rooms
Wish breakfast would have been a little more than cold continental. Pastries were good though.
Comfort clean and excellent location
Heated floor in the bathroom did not work and it would have been nice to have 2 comfortable chairs. Not one and a desk chair
Our room was absolutely lovely. It really made our stay in St. John’s
Perfect! The location was perfect. It has the best atmosphere of any place we have ever stayed! I would highly recommend it.
It’s one of the oldest buildings in St. John’s and was originally a warehouse so the rooms have huge wooden beams and uprights. It is next to the harbour and Water Street.
Breakfast was limited- juice, yoghurt, croissants, muffins and fruit. Originally they put us in a room with a loud sound of a fan. Fortunately they moved us.
Location was the best. Staff friendly and helpful.
Loved the large room, didn’t like we couldn’t see out the windows
Location was excellent, continental breakfast was nice ( a little short on seating) elevator is convenient and loved the jet tub. The shower was fantastic
The smoking area is not a great or secure location for guests. We found human feces by the garbage, and another time, a street person approached looking for money. Disappointed the restaurant and patio area are not open, but understand the staff shortage issue. Hallways were very dimly lit, making it hard for anyone with vision issues.
Unterkunft wir direkt in der Stadtmitte.
Breakfast was very poor. Pre-wrapped muffins, basic selection of yogourt and fruit juice. Coffee cups rather than fresh brewed. Calling it continental was a really euphemism for something that was very, very basic.
The building is really showing its age. The bath tub / shower had a really high side and had a huge step up into it. This was extremely dangerous, and I'm amazed that this passed a safety inspection. The heavy plastic curtains didn't close properly which was a serious privacy issue given that the bathroom had a full length window right above the courtyard. Given that it's an old, converted building, expect the noise from guests in the room above. This was very noticeable even though they were actually pretty quite.
Rooms are nice and big, continental breakfast had good choices and good coffee.
Our room (319) was right under someone else’s room and they were walking around all night long. The rooms are not soundproof and we did not get much sleep with that person walking around constantly.
It was quiet, bed was comfortable, decent TV, jacuzzi tub, had a fridge
Could have had a second chair other than a desk chair. The shower put more water out the bottom. The continental breakfast was poor. Fruit, yogurt, juice & muffins.
Location and parking
Would be nice if there was a lounge
Staff were friendly and lication is great. The history of the building is fascinating
Breakfast was a bit lacking
