What a great property! Lovely setting, stylish hotel, attentive service, modern rooms, some with great views of the river. Very diverse breakfast buffet and an active concierge lounge that is staffed and stocked. My only issue was needing to sleep and it was difficult. Early evening (8-11 pm or so), a concert was going on at a relatively new public amphitheater downtown and down river. But apparently the sounds travels easily and in tact across the waters to make it present to river-facing rooms in the hotel. The front desk offered to send up ear plugs, but if this is problem, better sound proofing and thicker paned or multi-paned windows are needed in those rooms. The offer of ear plugs is hardly a solution. To make it worse, a trio of drummers began playing on the Blue Bridge at 1:30 AM. The front desk called the police, but it took them until about 2:15am to get it shut down. All in all, not much quality sleeping time. While the drumming is clearly an issue beyond the hotel's immediate purview, staff seems to know about these noise problems. Absent a window fix, the least they could do is alert guests to the possibility and invite them to request a room that is not liable to be noisy. In fact, they alerted me via formal written letter to lock upgrades happening during my stay, but noise is clearly a bigger issue.
We stayed on the Executive Level in order to access the lounge. During the week, snack and small bites are very limited to non-existent due to staffing. We were not given our breakfast passes, however the desk agent provided Starbucks cards due to the mistake.
It was beautiful and clean
Nothing
Every detail was exceptional. I have stayed in many Marriot properties and this is the best by far. It is in the class of Four Seasons-Well done!
The executive lounge food was lacking for grab and go- no fruit and sugary options- consider Greek yogurt instead of plain and nuts or other healthy options as opposed to snack mix.
Charged the wrong credit card. A month later they still haven’t corrected their mistake. No follow up.
The customer service was extremely accommodating and friendly. Easily the best customer service I have ever had!
I really enjoyed my one night stay at this modern stylist hotel. For titanium elite they offered me access to the JW Club on the top floor, which was lovely. They had happy hour bar service there in the evening for a small fee. The server had bright red hair and was exceptionally friendly sharing tips about the area along with cocktails and wine.
The room was awesome with floor to ceiling views of the river and we were upgraded to a corner room. We had a slight problem with our first room as for some reason the mattress was wet and the agent Mandolin apologized profusely and moved us to the same room on a different floor.
The valets were also exceptionally friendly.
Our room was excellent. We made use of the spa and the restaurant, both of which were wonderful. We also loved the skyway access to other areas. Very convenient!
Cleanliness. Nice amenities.
If you pay online through booking, they will charge you again at the front desk.
