Definitely a motel room
Pros:

Location was great

Cons:

For the price, it was the most basic room ever. Maybe I'm just used to NC & SC beaches, but $350 a night anywhere else would have gotten me an updated room at a really nice resort instead of a motel room.

Pretty Good for an Older Property o
Pros:

Nice ocean front. Friendly staff. The room was very clean considering the age of the hotel. It was the last hotel on the strip by the jetty.Parking was easy.

Cons:

There was an old heart shaped jacuzzi tub taking up a big portion of the room. You could not get to the blinds to close them. The air conditioning vent in the ceiling was blasting cold air no matter how you adjusted it

Pros:

Great location at the quiet end of the boardwalk. Comfortable beds, roomy space, very nice staff. My son adored the pool which is open from 10-10 each day. The deluxe kitchenette provided dishes and pots and pans, very handy for small meals. The staff was very friendly and helpful and housekeeping did a great job keeping us stocked with towels and clean beds.

Cons:

We had issues with the wifi and couldn't connect for several days. The vents in the room had a lot of condensation that would drip onto the floor from time to time.

Pros:

The location was amazing. I liked being at the end of the boardwalk & there was plenty of restaurants & shopping within walking distance.

Cons:

The beds were super uncomfortable, our balcony was pretty small but the room had a huge tub. We didn't use the tub being a family trip. The floors were disgusting.. soon as the kids took their shoes off their feet were black.

Being able to enjoy the beach without hardly anyone there in August was great.
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and accomodating when we asked for clean sheets because ours were all wrinkled. I think they were just old as the clean sheets appeared the same when we changed them. The location and the view is why I booked with the Schooner and we were not dissapointed. The sunrise from the balcony was wonderful!! The parking was also convenient.

Cons:

I knew from the reviews that the hotel was outdated, but be prepared - it is *very outdated and could have been cleaner. We were only staying one night so it wasn't that big of a deal, and the positives made up for it. However, be aware that there is not a restaurant or even a continental breakfast offered either.
