The hotel itself is nice enough, we were in room 301 so top floor overlooking the garden at the back. room was really big, nice bed with a sofa and a TV had everything we needed for one night. HOWEVER be warned it's a night club and ITS LOUD! this went on til around 3am then the shouting in the streets until around 4. i wore the ear plugs provided which helped a little.
the room was very warm but the windows barely open and we couldn't have them open anyway due to the noise so that was the only negative.
The location is good we walked up to the temple bar area took around 20 minutes and did a bit of a bar crawl on the way back, lots of nice bars around it. the park opposite is lovely and the bus stop for the aircoach is a 5 minute walk away.
Got a nice big room. Friendly staff
It’s very noisy if you’re there when the nightclub is open. We knew before booking and were out that night ourselves so didn’t bother us but just something to be aware of.
Location
Reception staff not interested in helping guests
Very loud bar/club music in hotel until 4am so no chance of sleeping until it's off
Hotel rooms ridiculously hot and no working air conditioning
Towels from last guests still in bathroom
Location was good
Well located
Location
No air-conditioning and windows did not open.
Location was fantastic short walk to grafton street
The noise from the nightclub underneath and the noise of the street cleaners at 4.30am
If you value your sleep at night, I'd avoid this place at all costs. I wish I'd have read the reviews for this place before booking, I'd never have booked. The hotel is a Georgian style with lots of lovely old wooden furniture and fittings, and that's all I can say of a positive nature. The main problem with this place is the noise from the nightclub downstairs, which went on until 4am. When I booked, there was no warning of this. My room was directly above this nightclub. The room was very hot, no fan or air conditioning. I was unable to open the window until 4am after the club closed. I slept until 7am when a seagull right outside my window woke me, and it wouldn't go away. (See photo)
So this awful experience which I paid good money for left me very grumpy the next day. I decided I could not or would not go through another night like that so I checked out a day early and found alternative accommodation. Unless you are into nightclubs, don't book here. Russell court hotel needs to pre-warn guests of this set up they have. Its not fair and they don't refund for unhappy guest. They could have a really good hotel here as their location is pretty good with trams running along the street.
The area access for the concert
Do not get a front facing room the hotel mentions music but forgets to mention the legs being changed and throne around from 4am-6am
Ruime kamer, stijlvol hotel
De geluidsoverlast van de dagelijkse discotheek in de tuin.
The staff were lovely and the location was good.
