Lovely staff, very polite, my only issue was
the heat was unbelievably uncomfortable, for the price I could have got holiday Inn with air com, there was a fan but was useless against the heat, would 100% return but maybe only the ❄⛄
Initial check in staff member was friendly, check in was easy.
The quality of the room for the price. Maybe its just the cost of business at the moment, but for £70, albeit relatively cheap isn't that cheap. The room was tiny, the size of an average prison cell, and clearly not well maintained. Considering you can get well kept rooms on AirBnB for maybe £10 more, I was disappointed. My keycard also didn't work when I returned for the night, and had to track down a member of staff who slowly worked through each spare until one did using technology that im sure is about 20 years old.
The location was great and clean.
I could hear creaking noises whenever the neighbours were walking around upstairs.
Is right opposite the beach, the staff will welcoming. Close to the restaurants.
The parking is a nightmare. It’s a really struggle to find a space. There was quite a lot of drug dealings happening in the Neighbour area. I did not feel comfortable taking my five month old son.
It is a traditional hotel. It is well located. Staff is friendly.
You are asked for an additional £20 for the dog stay after the booking.
Used as a stopover
Great location, vintage and historic style, and very friendly and supportive staff!

Our room was very tired. Really needed updating
Bathroom was the worst. No shelf in bathroom for toothbrushes etc.
no mirror in bedroom. Just little improvements would make a big difference
De ligging, direct aan de boulevard, is geweldig.
Alles is zo ontzettend gedateerd. De vloerbedekking, het schilderwerk, letterlijk alles moet aangepakt worden.
I was given a first floor room with a shared balcony and a lovely view across the Folkestone Leas, a popular public space for walking, and the English channel beyond. At night with the balcony door open I could hear the waves on the shore below. The hotel is excellent for people like myself who don't drive. It is only a side street away from the main shopping street, with a good selection of shops. The bus station is close, the train station just a short bus ride or a walk away. The hotel is not on a noisy main road, and it is only a fairly short walk down to the beach. Folkestone is surrounded by rolling hills and there are many interesting places to visit in the area.
The hotel is actually a converted row of old town houses, not purpose built, so some of the adaptations made to create ensuite facilities are a little cramped, and there is sometimes "neighbour noise" through the thin walls put in to divide up larger old rooms. There is no AC so rooms may be warm in summer. There is also a bar in the basement which may create some occasional noise if your room is above it. I've been staying there regularly for over ten years now and don't find these things to be a problem.
Lovely area overlooking beautiful beach. Comfortable beds.
A little dated. Rooms were boiling even with fan. Parking is an issue.
Amazing location with a sea view. And close to pubs and restaurants.
Water pressure in a shower is very low. Will take ages to wash you hair. Lift outdated and a bit scary.
