I absolutely loved this gem of a hotel in a beautiful part of Paris. It is surrounded by countless restaurants and cafés, and many of the city's iconic sights are within easy walking distance. The Louvre is practically on the doorstep, and the hotel is also conveniently close to the main Hop-On Hop-Off bus starting point, making it an excellent base for exploring the city.
The rooms are well maintained and, like most city hotels, relatively compact, but they are thoughtfully equipped, exceptionally comfortable and spotlessly clean. We stayed on the sixth floor and found it wonderfully peaceful, with no noise at night at all.
The service was outstanding. The gentleman on reception remembered us by name whenever we passed through and was always friendly, welcoming and happy to help with anything we needed. Those personal touches made a real difference and made us feel genuinely valued as guests.
The hotel also offered excellent value for money. I compared a large number of hotels in the area before booking, and I am so pleased we chose Hotel Lumen.
I would not hesitate to stay here again and fully intend to return, this time with my husband and children.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you for helping to make my mother's 70th birthday so special. The macarons and handwritten card were such a thoughtful and much appreciated touch.

The decor and the staff
We went in the recent heatwave and the aircon wasn’t cool enough to make much of a difference. However for normal hot weather conditions it would be fine.
