Fine for one night!
Pros:

Perfect base for the night before Kinabatangan river cruise, very close to the pick up point for a lot of the operators.
Fairly clean and comfy
Staff very friendly and helpful

Cons:

Not sure how thoroughly cleaned our room was, as I found a cigarette butt on the floor of the bathroom on our arrival!!
Other than that, the room appeared clean, sheets fresh

Staff was nice. Good location. Cheap price.

Cons:

The rooms were very tired. Stains and holes in towels. Hand marks and smudges on walls. Beds were very hard and pillows were large and hard.

Hotel and rooms are extremely dated.

Rooms are very basic.

Cost per night does not feel like value for money especially given the fact a basic fridge is not provided.

This is a one night stay as a layover tbh.

Pros:

First of all, this is my 1st visit to Sandakan after my last visit which was 20 years ago. I find the front office was friendly, welcoming & very accommodative. The room was good for a night stay. Breakfast was also very good, since have a wide selection. Thank you.

Cons:

Only when we went out for a walk, their was a guy sitting across the hotel, who was holding a long parang. We had to make a different route to walk then. Mainly for us ladies is our safety. The location is fine.
