Have stayed here before but noticeable that new owners are letting hotel go downhill
Pros:

Great location right on the water and walking distance to cruise boarding.

Cons:

Property needs some care, paint and cleaning. It's a beautiful historic building but feels tired, needs some attention, new rugs in hallways, walls need painting/cleaning and general tiding up (remove tables in lobby, bedding and towels piled at end of hallways, etc.

It needs a good overall Dirty I wouldn't suggest to friends

The white walls in hallways covered in black hand prints
The bathroom door in the restaurant covered in dirt
Or sink in the bathroom, the rim covered in black .
Our room had that last person smell

Serene waterfront stay
Pros:

The hotel was lovely and in a beautiful location. We spent the evening wandering the waterfront area and it was so peaceful and serene. We took the City Cruises tour the next day and it was literally steps away from the hotel and was a perfect introduction to the 1000 lakes area! The pub food was excellent, and the breakfast the next morning on the terrace was nice as well.

Nice place with great staff
Pros:

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, for some undisclosed reason the gas had been cut off before we arrived and consequently there was no hot water. The staff was very apologetic and gave us a free room upgrade + $50 off dinner in their restaurant. So all in all it was a good value and I'll probably stay there again.

A beautiful and relaxing place to spend a weekend.
Pros:

Location was absolutely stunning. Gardens and patios were beautiful. Waterfront seating with amazing views
Front desk staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was included and very good. Lovely crispy bacon!
Free parking close to the entrance.

Cons:

No fridge in room.
Pillows were not good.
No blackout blinds or curtain in room so very light when sun comes up in the morning.
Tea was like warm water.
Vending machines were out of stock.

Very enjoyable!
Pros:

I stayed in this hotel last year and had superb breakfast on their balcony. This year the dining room wasn't available nor was the balcony and the breakfast in the pub did not come close to my experience last year. The staff, room and property were first class! A very enjoyable stay!

Pros:

Location and view of the water was great. The room was renovated and seemed pretty clean. Front desk service and care was great. Nice and close to the theatre. No fridge in the room.

Cons:

Included breakfast portion was small. Hash browns served only a small handful. Bacon was really thin. The Men's washroom for the restaurant had stall doors that were pretty dirty and overall that washroom wasn't that clean.

Pros:

The room was newly renovated. However no attempt was made to clean it between days. I didn't even see a maid service?

Cons:

The biggest problem was the breakfast. I truly believe someone inexperienced was trying to cook.
The first morning I had pancakes they were under cooked so I couldn't finish them the 2 tiny ones that were.
The 2nd morning I tried the western omelet I took 2 bites and knew if I continued I'd be sick. I felt the effects of those 2 bites all day!
Lastly I went down stairs to use the washroom it was dirty I believe an employee came out of the stall when I was there.
I told him they were out of paper towels to dry your hands he just looked at me and didn't wash his, I truly hope he wasn't the cook!!
