Location
We chose the Gananoque Inn because of its beautiful waterfront location, but unfortunately the overall experience was disappointing.
The rooms are very dated, which we could have overlooked, but they also did not feel clean. That had the biggest impact on our stay.
The dining experience was also below expectations. At dinner, the restaurant had already run out of salmon, limiting the menu choices. The following morning, there was a regional power outage, which we understand was outside the hotel’s control. However, most breakfast options were unavailable, and the food that was served arrived cold and was of poor quality.
Service was another disappointment. The reception staff were not particularly welcoming, and there was no secure luggage storage available. We were asked to leave our suitcases in the middle of the lobby sitting area, which was inconvenient and did not feel secure.
What made this especially disappointing was the price. At close to CAD $500 for one night, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, service, and overall experience. The waterfront location is certainly beautiful, but in our opinion, the location alone does not justify the price. Unfortunately, we left feeling that the stay offered very poor value for money.
Ubicación
Instalaciones muy viejas. Pero está bien para pasar una o dos noches.
Property was in a great location, right on the waterfront and close to the downtown area. The price included a free hot breakfast, daily.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was recently renovated and clean. Parts of the rest of the hotel are in need of renovation but it was still overall clean and pleasant.
Over all I would recommend this hotel.
Ganonque is a pretty little town, worth visiting while in the region.
The people are very friendly and the staff at Ganonque Inn were the true starts. They were wonderful.
Location was very good
Property looks tired
It would have been nice to know we were staying in a motel type room outside of the main inn when we booked. It was almost $300 a night. It was so damp and musty in the room everything felt wet. This has new East Indian owners and food was terrible (Free breakfast) cold buffet style. Seems the guys in kitchen also clean the rooms and do renovation on the property. Our friends ended up in what they called a "cottage" which was feet from the large parking lot. They also thought they booked a room in the Inn. The parking lot was half empty so we don't think they were at full capacity so why separate our group and stick us basically off the main property. We will definitely will be back to Gananoque but not to the Hotel.

Literie confortable, parking gratuit 👍🏻
