Inn at Wecoma

We were charged $30 a night for a small 9lb dog. No one ever came and cleaned our room. We stayed for two nights. No one brought us more towels. And when we went down to ask for more towels we were told they didn’t have enough and could only give us one. The continental breakfast wasn’t very good. No fruit. No waffles. No pastries. Ran out of jam for the toast. No real butter. I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with way better breakfast. Our room was right next to the elevator. And every 5 minutes you could hear the awful loud noise.

The hotel is just blah... not kept up... the fireplace in our suite wasn't working, nor was our air, so we needed to leave the window open (no big deal) but then everyone in other rooms was smoking. I brought that to the attention of hotel staff, who likely did nothing. The bathroom shower never remained warm, despite what time of day we bathed/showered. Just not a great experience, will not be back

I didn’t like that nobody ever cleans your room during your stay. You have to go get your own towels and such.

That the bottom floor ice machine was not working and we had to travel to the third floor for Ice*

On first glance the place is pretty outwardly clean. A little dated but that's not a deal breaker because most of the time coastal hotels are. However, we had gotten checked in and got our room key. Went to our assigned room, unlocked the door, walked in and it was occupied. Luckily (or unluckily I don't know) the residents of the room were not there when we barged in because we were told it was OUR room. However it was very obvious people were staying in that room. We did immediately leave and went back down to the front desk to tell them the issue. They were so confused at how such a thing could have happened (which was not reassuring because it was the same person that checked us in) but they were able to get us checked into a room that wasn't already taken. The room itself was fine and clean other than a cleaning rag that had been left behind. However the beds. I am absolutely not a picky bed person and can generally sleep anywhere. But man these beds were brutal and while it was likely a combination of feeling unsettled at the security of the place (what if our room is checked out to someone else?!) as well as those rock hard mattresses, this will unfortunately not be a place I see is ever returning to stay.

The front desk would not allow us to check in early. We showed up a couple hours early to see if we could come back about 330 to 345 to check in as I had an important zoom meeting scheduled for 4pm.The staff declined and said to come back at 4:00 p.m. so because we had to wait behind other people also checking in at 4:00 p.m. and then had to get to our room and figure out the Wi-Fi, we ended up missing the first 40 minutes of the zoom meeting 🫤
The bed was like sleeping on a concrete slab it was extremely hard I would not be able to sleep on a bed like that again.
There was no dresser just a very small rod to hang clothes on and a bunch of hooks also there was plenty of space in the room, so it seems like they could have put a small dining table in there or just a small table to sit and play cards at would have been nice.

No AC. An individual unit with a fan as placed in the room. It was scorching hot all night, even with the balcony door left open all night.

Breakfast was very very basic. No waffle maker. No fresh fruit. Just eggs, sausage, yogurt, bagels and toast. 2 types of cereal. For the price if the room, it would of been nice to see a better selection.
