Pros:

Very good location, a lot of sunbeds on the beach, excellent breakfast and dinner. Clear sea.

Cons:

Waitiing time for the lift. Some parts of the hotel are old.

Heerlijke vakantie dichtbij Piran

Heerlijk hotel met ouderwetse charme. Je proeft de grandeur van de Oostblokperiode in een hedendaags jasje. Gemoderniseerde kamer met zeezicht. Comfortabele bedden, geluiddichte kamer, goede airco. Fantastisch, uitgebreid ontbijt in een prachtige zaal. Fijne ligplaatsen op een groot terras aan zee, makkelijke toegang tot de zee via trappen en ladders via houten platform. Topligging direct aan zee, 15 minuten via zeepromenade naar prachtige stad Piran. Portoroz best met fiets bezoeken, te ver om te voet af te leggen. Gratis parkeerplaats gegarandeerd op afgesloten terrein. Kortom topverblijf.

Cons:

Ondanks de vele ligbedden zijn de beste plaatsen al snel ingenomen 's morgens vroeg. Receptie medewerkers stijfjes, mag wat vriendelijker. Bv bij uitchecken eens kort vragen of alles naar wens was. Soms lange wachttijden aan de 3 liften. Kamerkaart werkt niet altijd.

We stayed for four nights and paid around €1,500. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price or the standard we expected from a hotel of this category.

We arrived by car and, after Google Maps directed us incorrectly, called reception for directions. They explained how to reach the parking area but failed to mention that we could first drive to the hotel entrance to unload our luggage. As a result, we carried all our bags uphill from the parking in approximately 38°C heat.

The room was dated and poorly maintained: the wardrobe was broken, there were stains on the ceiling, and even drinking water was not provided and had to be purchased separately.

Service was also disappointing. An iron took three calls to reception and around 45 minutes to arrive, which is a long wait when trying to leave for a morning excursion. Some staff also seemed insufficiently trained and responded to questions by explaining that they were students or had only recently started working there.
