Friendly, convenient and charming hotel only minutes away from the sights!
Pros:

This charming hotel (a former palace and, later, orphnage) was a delightful stop for our first three nights on our trip to Italy.

We chose one of the smaller rooms for budget reasons and were delighted: small but contained everything we needed; en suite shower room; very quiet; air conditioning if needed; daily service by our friendly chambermaid.

Breakfast was included and it was a feast. For those travelling and exploring the sights, a good breakfast really sets one up for the day, and I can't really imagine a better one.

From the moment we were welcomed in such a friendly manner by Chiara (arriving late at night), all the staff were delightful and so helpful: our chambermaid was very accommodating and smiley; Nasheen (spelling?) and all the breakfast staff were helpful, friendly and jolly; this comes from the top, and we were welcomed by the "boss" - aging very friendly as he showed the ropes to his charming nephew.

THank you all!! We hope to return.

The hotel is situated in a most convenient spot: easy and cheap local parking; a few minutes' walk to the centre of Ravenns, with the beatiful Basilica of Saint Apollonare Nuevo just across the road.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn't like! I don't think we could find any faults.

Meh - ok for pre cruise night
Pros:

Good for a pre-cruise night but I wouldn’t stay here longer than that.

WiFi didn’t work in the room. Only the lobby. Ac didn’t drop below 25.4.

Neither of those are terribly surprising for Italy but a little inconvenient and uncomfortable.

Bathrooms date back to the 70s. Again, fine for one night.
