Fabulous nature and amenities

Great front desk staff and a great location, the cafe was amazing, so good and a family run business. Best pastries ever

Big room, good price and perfect place to stop for a night to break up drive to Jasper.
Pros:

Great location. We stopped here just for a night during the summer so it functioned very well as a place to sleep to break up the drive to Jasper. Very big room. Comfortable bed and good price. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Bathroom could do with upgrading but was very functional and wasn’t a problem. Also, had to pay for parking which seemed unnecessary but access was easy and spots were nice and big.

A gem of a hotel.
Pros:

Wonderful hotel. Great atmosphere, good food. Amazing manager Robyn, she was really efficient, friendly and she has great knowledge of the whole area. Brian who ran the bar was super friendly, we had a great chat with him. The bar is lovely and full of atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Can’t get any closer to the slopes and chairlift

Cons:

Some of our windows had no blinds or curtains which meant we had light coming in all night. Unsupervised kids using the one elevator as a playground everyday was annoying for guests trying to go up or down. Some reception staff were great, others pretty disinterested.

Cons:

Room (216) was almost right above the bar and restaurant Bottoms which is located in the hotel. That would make it loud on regular Friday and Saturday nights, but the weekend I was there was the Altitunes Electronic music festival. I was not made aware of the festival (in advance or at check-in), or that Bottoms was hosting the after parties Friday and Saturday which ran until 1:00 am and were EXTREMELY loud (to the point where the windows and building were shaking). There was no where to move to as the hotel was fully booked. I made my reservation four months in advance and was not attending the festival, so did not make sense that that room was assigned to me. The situation could have been avoided if they had been proactive and contacted guests and advised them about the festival and after parties and assigned rooms like mine who were attending those events. In the end the hotel refunded me the cost of the two nights (out of four) given that it was impossible to sleep.
