I thought it was a converted old house, but it is a huge modern block on the back of an old house
Pros:

Good location
Car charging point.

Cons:

queueing at breakfast
would have liked 'continental' option for breakfast, croissants, cold meats, cheese etc
unreliable wifi kept dropping out
Big modern block with hundreds of rooms

It is a lovely hotel with a peaceful setting.
Pros:

We booked 2 rooms. The suite was lovely and spacious for us to sit and relax. The games room was also enjoyed by a member of the group, especially the pool table.

Cons:

The only thing I could say is that in one of the rooms we booked, a pack of the complimentary biscuits had been opened and one of them taken out.

Pleasant Stay in the Countryside
Pros:

The hotel is in pleasant countryside surroundings. Ample parking and easy access to the main roads.

Cons:

The bedrooms where we stayed were within a modern extension from the original old building that you see in the photos. The bedroom had thin walls and we could hear our neighbours.
Overall the bedroom appeared to be in phases of repair. For example new carpets, freshly painted walls.

A super little hotel!
Pros:

We have visited Burn Hall a number of times and always enjoy our stay. It is an ideal location for exploring the lacality and good value for money. We have found the staff helpful and friendly, especially the reception staff. The gentleman who took our booking over the phone was very helpful and welcoming. Though the menu is not vast, the food is tasty and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the Chef's special, the fish pie - packed with salmon, prawns and coley, cooked in a fabulous white wine sauce and topped with a creamy cheesey potato - my all time favourite! The rooms, though not luxurious, are very clean and comfortable. Though they are not equiped with air conditioning, fans are available. {we always pack our own fan anyway - it pays to be pro-active!]The service in the restaurant is excellent, with service swift and efficient. We'll be back soon!

Very good but a little TLC needed
Pros:

Nice hotel set in lovely grounds. Room was ok but in need of a little TLC, shower rail was rusty, shower head flaking, toilet was hard to flush and sometimes husband had to flush for me. On a plus side food was lovely and reasonably priced as was the bar drinks. Staff nice and friendly , wouldn't let the downs out me off returning
