Three uncomfortable rooms that were different from those listed in the booking confirmation (two separate single beds, all on the same floor); one room had a foul odor; the front desk employee didn’t bother to resolve the issue immediately, and we didn’t receive an upgrade. Later, a manager very kind stepped in and switched us to a room with a pungent odor (but not on the same floor). Cleaning was minimal in the following days. The location is on the outskirts, not in the city center.
In the days that followed, the cleaning was satisfactory but not as thorough as usual for this level of service.
The ocean blue eyed lady meet us at Front desk, she was so nice, so kind and gentle. Even she gave us the room earlier than I could imagine. Special thanks, Im so sorry couldnt notice her name. Also thanks to Mr Diogo who helped us to catch a taxi, so appreciate. Guys, you are unbelievable.
Good location, although a bit far from the city center, but the room was decently sized and very clean. The breakfast was towards the low end, there was no variety and the quality of the products wasn't great.
The staff was friendly, overall a good hotel.
It is in a great location
The corridors are very scary, it feels like walking in a prison, the walls are black and very narrow, I have never seen such scary corridors in my life.
There is a very disrespectful front desk staff whose name is Allison, that guy has no business working at the front desk, I was talking to him and he ignored me and was typing and I said to him are you listening and he said yes then I said it’s unfair you are not maintaining an eye contact with me while we communicate, he is not friendly at all and made me uncomfortable each time I approached the front desk But Diogo was wonderful, the Food department manager i cannot remember his name is an angel, he was excellent, the following kitchen staff were great: Ariana, Matilda and Beatrice.
The hotel was nice. The food at the restaurant was good, loved the fish! Fabio was great suggesting us things to eat.
Filipa was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She seems to be truly concerned about the guests and their accommodations. We’ve had a wonderful experience!
The location is amazing. The staff are wonderful and super helpful especially Shamila and Alisson. I will definitely come back when I visit Lisbon again. The bigger roooms are amazing and very comfortable. There is also a Starbucks at the entrance
Nothing
La galleta de bienvenida
Decoración muy moderna pero demasiado negro!
This hotel is more than fine. I will about the decor is a bit odd—narrow long hallways of the same color akin to Severance—but the room was clean and everything worked great. Staff was great to us at check in with recommendations and a warm cookie. The neighborhood around is just fine too. Consider the mall for a quick bite to eat, and Metro stations are easily walkable.
Also, if you are silver or above, this location offers free breakfast for you on the first morning of your stay to demo. Some construction is currently ongoing NE of the hotel, but they do not work in the early or late hours.
We stayed here for 4 nights and what a great Hotel to stay at. Its a little bit out of the center (30 min walk) or 5 euro's in an Uber. The rooms were so clean and the beds are the best. we hate in the restaurant for Breakfast and dinner and the food was excellent. The best bit about this Hotel is the staff, i don't think i have ever been to an hotel were EVERYONE is so kind and helpful. I would like to give a big shout out to Motaz and Tiago who work in the cocktail bar. so funny and nothing is a problem when you need anything. THANK YOU ALL.
We changed 4 rooms as some rooms are carpeted and had smell. Finally we settled on first floor facing the street, and I had a hard time falling asleep till I took sleeping pills as passing cars noise was intruding.
Tilled rooms are ok, but you need to get 6-7 th floor. We asked the bar if they can make as a good capuchino with espresso machine. They said they have one in the restaurant, but they brought us just bad coffee from the usual machine.
The front staff is great and accommodating.
I have stayed at many Hilton hotels before, and we are also Hilton Gold members. At first, they told us that an upgrade was not possible. We went to the room and I have never in my life seen a hotel where the hallway looks like a prison. It is very old and smells very musty. The curtains were worn out and the same goes for all the furniture.
We reported this at the reception and suddenly we were given a slightly larger room, which was somewhat better, but overall I have never seen a Hilton hotel like this. The staff is friendly and helpful, though.
Tudo perfeito, tivemos quem mudar de quarto e recebemos toda assistência da equipe. Café da manhã excelente
O elevador poderia ter maior capacidade e ser mais moderno
We booked two rooms for three nights at DoubleTree by Hilton Fontana Park, Lisbon at the end of May because the Hilton name usually guarantees a certain standard of comfort and quality. Instead, this turned out to be one of the most frustrating hotel stays we’ve experienced.
The first warning sign came the moment we stepped out of the elevator. The corridors are long, dark, black tunnels that feel more like a prison block, bunker or dystopian movie set than a welcoming hotel.
The entire property seems obsessed with being “different” and “designer,” but completely forgets that hotels are supposed to be comfortable places where people actually want to stay.
The room design was equally baffling. Dark surfaces everywhere, gloomy lighting and a cold atmosphere that felt more institutional than luxurious.
The bathroom deserves special mention because it is, without question, one of the most ridiculous hotel bathroom designs we have ever encountered.
• The black glass partition provides virtually no privacy.
• Anyone in the room can clearly see the person showering.
• Even worse, the toilet area is visible enough to make using it uncomfortable.
• The toilet cubicle is surrounded by mirrors on multiple sides. Who wants to watch themselves from every angle while sitting on a toilet?
• The bathroom light shines directly into the sleeping area, making it impossible for one person to sleep while another uses the bathroom.
• The design seems to value shock factor over common sense.
As a couple, we found it uncomfortable. As parents travelling with our son and daughter in the second room, we found it completely inappropriate. How exactly are siblings supposed to share a room with a bathroom setup like this?
What makes it even more unbelievable is that the hotel proudly advertises this bathroom concept as an award-winning design. That honestly left us speechless.
After complaining, the hotel moved our children to a room with a non-transparent bathroom, which only confirmed that better room configurations do exist. Unfortunately, we were left in the original setup ourselves.
Then came the maintenance issues:
• Safe not working.
• Blinds not working.
• Because the blinds wouldn’t close properly, privacy became an even bigger concern.
• Door malfunctioning and requiring excessive force.
• Air conditioning stopped working.
• Multiple staff visits over nearly two hours while repairs were attempted.
Instead of enjoying Lisbon, we spent our evening trapped in the room dealing with one problem after another.
The only positive aspect of our stay was Diogo at reception. He genuinely tried to help, listened to our concerns, and did his best to resolve the issues. Unfortunately, once his shift ended, we were largely left on our own.
After an exhausting night, we woke up to a breakfast that was disappointingly average and far below expectations for a Hilton-branded property.
At that point we had completely lost confidence in the hotel.
We checked out after just one night and moved elsewhere despite having booked three nights.
Looking back, the most frustrating thing is that many of the problems appear to stem from a philosophy that prioritizes trendy design over guest comfort. The dark corridors, black walls, strange room layouts, lack of privacy, impractical bathrooms and maintenance issues create an experience that feels uncomfortable rather than luxurious.
A hotel can be modern without feeling like a prison, a hospital, a nightclub or a psychological experiment.
We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
If TripAdvisor allowed zero stars, that’s exactly what this property would receive from us.
Absolutely not recommended for families, couples seeking privacy, or anyone expecting the quality and comfort usually associated with the Hilton brand.
A gorgeous and spacious room. Beds are comfortable. There were nice amenities, like a deep bathtub and a Lavazza coffee-maker. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful. Breakfast was quite good.
The main complaint is noise: one can clearly hear conversations in the adjoining room, and there is a large building being built right next door.
Odama ulasabilmek icin acil cikis kapisindan girerek merdiven inip cikmam gerekti. Valizle cok pratik degildi.
Tudo perfeito, atendimento pelo Felipe e os funcionários no café da manhã.
