Location and stuff
They do not clean the room till we ask
And if they come the do not clean good
The air conditioning was broken
The came after day and in the middle of the day when we came back to rest and made noise
The management did mot apologize and offer any thing
It was our anniversary day and they knew
So it was bad stay
Breakfast was delicious and even had great gluten free options! Very comfortable and spacious room, the location was very convenient and the building/decor was lovely - would definitely recommend.

The breakfast was amazing! The room was so big compared to other hotel rooms I’ve stayed in in Italy. The view from the room was incredible, looking out into the galleria. The hotel itself was small enough to have a homey feel, but the staff was so professional that I felt like I was staying at a large chain with all of the resources I’d want.
The walls and ceiling were decorated by hand (and you can tell because the line strokes are unravel). I found this so charming and beautiful - my fiance didn’t love it as much. The bed was quite comfortable as well - on the harder side - but still very good quality.
I loved the elevator. I’ll preface by saying I’m scared of elevators (an irrational fear), but I really enjoyed the experience of putting in a coin and going up and seeing the entire surroundings. I was a little scared (because of my fears), but the elevator felt completely safe and smooth - no jerking or pauses!
The only thing that could have been better was the shower/bath. Our shower head broke (sometime before we arrived), because it was wasn’t attached properly. We notified the staff and there unfortunately had to order part, which wouldn’t arrive until after our stay because of the holiday. The staff did everything they could and were understanding when our showers made large pools of water on the floor. We felt very badly about this, but the staff was very helpful and offered additional towels to help!

Climatisation qui ne fonctionne pas très bien (surtout avec la canicule, la chaleur étouffante alors que je suis asthmatique)
Ils nous ont donné une chambre donnant sur l’arrière de l’hôtel (alors nous avons bien demandé depuis janvier 2026 (plus que 6 mois d’avance) une belle chambre donnant sur l’intérieur de la Galleria Umberto soulignant qu’il s’agit de la célébration de nos noces de Saphir (16eme anniversaire de mariage), apparemment notre demande est restée « lettre morte » malgré notre gentil rappel au Check-in mais l’agent d’accueil à notre arrivée semblerait « très froid » (manque de sensibilité et d’empathie). L’emplacement donc donné nous a pénalisé avec la remontée des fortes odeurs provenant des restaurants/poubelles en bas !
Les jus servis lors du petit dej ne sont pas naturels/frais (comme il se doit pour un hotel 4* ) !
Le buffet du petit dej n’est pas assez riche pour un hotel 4* !
Building was very unique. Close to ferry terminal.
Old elevator slow and could only hold three people at a time. Made things difficult with hotel on 4th floor. Manageable though.
L’ambiance global de l’hôtel, on a l’impression d’être dans un autre monde, le service était top très agréable surtout Catherina au petit déjeuner qui était très attentionné et qui avait toujours une recommandation pour nos excursions. La localisation est parfaite pour les visite ou les transports (métro, train, bateau)

Very good location and breakfast. The building is beautiful.
The bathroom was very disappointing. Lots of black mould in the shower and the shower hose was very dirty. The bathrooms need upgradinf. We were also over-charged on city tax which was only identified when we were leaving and overheard someone else checking in and paying the tax and then queried how much we paid. There was more noise than I expected at night. On our last night there were loads of kids playing football within the shopping centre until midnight which was very noisy. Would also be good to have key cards to get in and out rather than relying on reception opening the doors.

The ladies at reception & at breakfast we wonderful- so attentive & helpful.
Katerina, who assisted us every morning at breakfast was amazing!! She was so kind, helpful & attentive, especially with my 80-year old mother, whom she made a real point of chatting with & attending her.
The only fault I could find was that, for 2 days/nights, we did not have a kettle in our room...the first day when asked, the lovely lady at reception swiftly brought us hot water to make tea. The second day however, the gentleman on reception was very reluctant to do so & when I asked about the possibility of having a kettle, was a little dismissive & eventually brought a small pot of water.
On the third day, I asked again about the possibility of a kettle & this time, another kind gentleman on reception managed to do so promptly.
I felt awkward for keep having to ask & it is the only reason for not giving the highest of scores for the hotel.
