Amazing view from our bedroom of the lake. Large room.
Restaurant was over priced and there is pretty much no where else to go as most of the town restaurants are not open very long.

Extraordinary hotel great service and fabulous view
Nothing
A lovely hotel with helpful and mostly efficient staff. We upgraded our room and got a room facing the lake and Mt Fuji. So special. Onson was good. Did not use the restaurants. Courtesy bus to and from Owafara was excellent. Forwarded our luggage from here, was waiting for us at our Tokyo hotel.
Although it has a few restaurants and shops they only get going later in the morning and close by 16.30H.which forces you to go elsewhere or eat at the hotel.
This is a grand hotel at the edge of Lake Ashinoko and truly has a view of Mt. Fuji on a clear day. We loved our delicious, beautiful meals at Nadaman Garden and the outstanding indoor + outdoor onsen facilities. Even the pajamas were very nice and included a jacket, which we needed since the path to the onsen included a path outdoors (unless your room was in the annex) and it was a bit chilly in the evenings. The staff was excellent too and provided great service.
The location has its pros and cons. The hotel provides a shuttle from Motohakone until 7:30 and offers another one to Odawara station with a limited schedule, but if you miss these rides, it was challenging to find a taxi. A public bus runs from Hakone-en but started around 10 and only ran about once an hour so we spent more on transportation even though we had the Hakone Free Pass.
After booking the reservation in December, I heard back once from the hotel through booking.com regarding their restaurants, then I couldn’t get a response to my request for a dinner and shuttle reservation despite multiple messages sent through different channels over the next five months (email bounced, no response on Facebook, Instagram, nor through their rewards program at the Seibu Prince parent site).
As this is an older property, there were fewer working outlets in the room and the USB extenders provided didn’t actually work. (I woke up to discover that my watch was not charged overnight.) The room did have a balcony but we didn’t have a lake view.
Prachtige locatie en fantastisch buffet compleet ontspannen in de onsen
Het zou iets moderner gemaakt kunnen worden
Excellent hotel in beautiful location - we even got a clear view of Mount Fuji. The facilities, especially the onsen were fantastic and the free shuttle bus to and from Odawara Station was a bonus. All the main hotel staff were lovely and helpful.
