Would return. Bring your credit card! Not cheap but worth it.

Beautiful inn and amenities. Very private. Great food.

Cons:

Some staff seemed cold and curt. Most were very pleasant.
Alton Village is basically closed down Monday and Tuesday. Nothing open.

Overall it was a wonderful 2 night stay and we came home relaxed and refreshed. We will go again.
Pros:

The Spa experience was excellent. Massages were top notch. Pools were clean and perfect temperature. Food in restaurant was 5 star. Table by the falls is the best! Lovely grounds. Every night at turn down, we were brought a rose - nice touch.

Cons:

It is absolutely worth it to book one of the Croft rooms. They are right beside the spa and rustic, with fireplaces. We drove our car to the spa from the Manor Home, which meant we couldn't just walk over in our robes. There was a leak in the closet in our room, which soaked some towels stored there.
There was a weird smell in the Manor Home hall carpet. It could be the cleaning product used, but wasn't pleasant. Having to climb stairs wasn't best for me as there is no elevator in the home.

It was a lovely romantic getaway.
Pros:

Loved the spa and the hot tub on the patio. Dinner and restaurant views were awesome. Loved the toiletries in the bathrooms.

Wait time to get entrees in the restaurant.

Ordered an sunny side up egg for breakfast and the white was not cooked and it cost $38. Needless to say we did not order breakfast the next day.

Service was excellent, friendly staff

Cons:

There were absolutely no hooks in the room to hang your house coats. You always had to find somewhere to lay them that ended up on the floor. It looked like there use to be on a back of the door at some point. Room was not vacuumed and everytime you came in from hot tub you track dirt in. Needs to be a pored concrete or stones. When we got there they had 3 right foot sandals. Needed 2 and 2 for my wife and I.

Not worth the money could have gone to a knight’s inn

Had the same massage therapist Lina she is one of the best
I was so happy to have her again that is what made my stay with you worth it

There has been a change since April
1 no soft check in big inconvenience
2 your spa allowance has greatly changed for the worst
3 the room 252 has a large water leak the smell of mold coming from the closet was a big turn off along with the water leak this just didn’t start this has been an on going problem in that room
All your staff is new and un experienced we waited for break fast at the entrance for 15 minutes we where going to seat our selves
Instead of discouraging your guests with all these new changes work on the ones you already have you need to step up your game
I did not get a good response from the manager he gave a corporate answer in other words we are not going to do anything sorry but we will take your money now
I also believe a suit and running shoes answers my question
The manager was pleasant but just there as a title/position
Spa change rooms great you now have coded locks but there still is the issues of mold on the shower walls and floor
These are health issues and your spa is to promote health and feeling good
My over all experience was poor from the room to the spa change rooms and in experienced staff
Customer service and cleanliness should be your top priority not changing services
I was not the only discourage customer we talked to 3 other couples that are regulars just like myself

We had a nice dinner with friends, however we will most likely not be back.
Pros:

The bar and dinner service war very good. Friendly staff.

Cons:

We did not like the room. We ordered a room with 2 beds, when we arrived they gave us a room with a single Queen size bed. The check in clerk tried to rectify the situation, which we appreciated.
We also thought it was over priced. At this rate I would have expected at least the inclusion of the breakfast.

Closed outdoor dining due to weather but when weather improved refused to open it Temp 36C too bad
