Categories

Cleanliness
9.4
Multiple guests repeatedly called the property very clean and well cared for; rooms described as clean and comfortable. A small number mentioned pool area issues, but room-level cleanliness is consistently positive.
Service
9.3
Many reviews praise friendly, helpful staff and employees who went above and beyond; a few report dismissive behavior (pet policy handling, a less-friendly front desk). Overall service is positive and the score is slightly elevated to reflect strong staffing comments and to balance weaker areas.
Location
9.6
Several guests note a good/safe location ('Buena ubicación', 'great location', 'safe location'). Location is a clear strength and is rated above target to reflect consistent positive mentions.
Room Quality
7
Rooms are described as spacious and comfortable by some, but there are notable negatives: multiple mentions of a very firm mattress and some old furniture/TVs. Mixed feedback yields a mid-range score.
Amenities
6.2
Amenities are mixed: gym and free parking are positives, but multiple guests report the hot tub/jacuzzi is out of service and the pool area was dirty. Repeated amenity failures pull this rating down.
Value for Money
6.5
Several guests noted unexpected charges (paid breakfast ~$15), higher room price and limited breakfast selection; some felt the stay was not memorable relative to cost, producing a below-target value score.
Food and Beverage
7
Mixed F&B feedback: a few guests praised dinner/breakfast, but several complain breakfast is not free, has limited selection or is charged. Overall mixed sentiment leads to a moderate score.
Overall Experience
8.2
Overall impressions are generally positive due to cleanliness, location and staff, but offset by amenity failures (hot tub/pool), breakfast/value issues and occasional poor service interactions. The score reflects a broadly positive stay with notable negatives.

Breakfast is not free
Pros:

Clean, quiet, safe, free parking. Very friendly staff

Cons:

The mattress was way too firm. I felt like I was sleeping on concrete all night. It needs memory foam or something. I also thought they had free breakfast. Breakfast was just ok. Not a huge selection and they charge $15. Other Hiltons i have stayed in have an amazing breakfast buffet that is free. San Jose is the best

Pros:

Service , and property clean. Great staff and location. Have been here twice already.

Little higher price. And tried checking in on reservation 30 minutes early. But room wasn't ready. Requested King bed and had to settle on two queen.

Great Brand, Poor Service at This Location
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel tonight and was very disappointed with how the staff handled their pet policy. I travel often for both business and pleasure and have always had great experiences at other Hilton locations, including one just last week that was extremely pet‑friendly. They welcomed pets, and many guests had them. The atmosphere and attitude there were completely different.

At this location, I paid the pet fee and signed a list of reasonable rules — including the standard one that pets aren’t allowed in the on‑site restaurant. Since most restaurants don’t allow pets, that rule makes perfect sense. But then I was told I couldn’t leave my dog unattended in the room, an unwritten and unexpected rule I had never encountered at any Hilton. This created a genuine guest dilemma: how exactly was I supposed to get dinner while keeping my pet with me?

I understand that policies can sometimes conflict with one another — that happens. But what made this situation unacceptable was the dismissive attitude of both the manager and the clerks. Instead of helping me navigate an unwritten rule that put me in an impossible position, they offered unrealistic suggestions that someone traveling and unfamiliar with the area couldn’t reasonably follow, and made snide remarks rather than trying to assist.

Because the rule wasn’t written anywhere, they eventually allowed me to leave my chihuahua in the room as long as he didn’t disturb anyone. Still, the experience was disappointing enough that I canceled my reservation scheduled for two weeks later. Enforcing policies is one thing, but making light of a guest’s dilemma caused by an unwritten rule — and responding with dismissive customer service — is simply poor hospitality.
