The room was incredibly big and super comfortable. I think it was the best bed ive ever slept in. Beautiful hotel and staff were super helpful and nice.
Apart from the hotel’s location, everything else is an absolute disaster.
Более развернутый и естественный вариант для отзыва:
The only redeeming quality of this hotel is its location. Everything else is an absolute disaster. The service, the staff, the breakfast, the housekeeping, and the overall experience fall far below what anyone would expect from a five-star property.
One of the most awful places I’ve stayed in over the past few years. It’s a very old hotel with a bizarre and confusing room design. But that would have been tolerable.
What truly stood out was the incredibly incompetent and clumsy staff. For a five-star hotel, they apparently cannot even press a pair of trousers properly or create a decent crease. Everything seems to operate on an assembly line of mediocrity and neglect.
The breakfasts are more like something you’d expect from a cheap business cafeteria than a luxury hotel. In fact, it’s hard to understand who awarded this place its five-star rating in the first place.
As for the breakfast itself, the so-called “buffet” is a masterpiece of stinginess and poor quality. Then you’re offered an omelet that resembles a creamy, shapeless substance rather than an actual breakfast, and immediately presented with a bill for 57 francs, payable on the spot.
The rooms constantly feel damp, and there are insects. Any complaints or remarks are simply ignored.
Housekeeping deserves a special mention as well: cleaning is done only once a day, and a second service is not available.
And the final touch: for a late check-out, they will charge you half of the amount you paid for your entire three-day stay.
Overall, this hotel falls dramatically short of the standards one would expect from a five-star property, both in terms of service and basic hospitality.

The room was spacious, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Overall, we had a pleasant stay.
The room was spacious, and the staff were friendly and professional.
However, I did not appreciate the requirement to provide a CHF 300 security deposit, along with the repeated reminders that guests would be responsible for any damaged items. While I understand the hotel's policy, I found these repeated warnings somewhat stressful and not fully in line with the experience I would expect from a five-star hotel.
In my opinion, guests choosing a hotel of this standard are generally aware of their responsibility to take care of the room and its furnishings. Therefore, the emphasis on potential charges and damages felt excessive and slightly affected the overall guest experience.
Location and decor were brilliant. Staff were very professional and accommodating

Location is Great. You are in the close center proximity. Comfortable beds and pillows. A bit too much tear and wear in rooms. Staff very welcoming except Italian speaking skinny gentleman at the reception. Restaurant staff - very good.
Extremely lovely staff — you can really feel they care and try their best to make your stay comfortable.
Very comfortable bed, mattress and pillows.
Good breakfast with attentive and quick service.
Very spacious room, especially for Zurich.
Only 4 minutes’ walk to the lake and about 15 minutes to the city center.
For us, it was a bit strange to see many artificial flowers in the room and around the hotel. The room felt a little cold and not very cozy. Small details could make it much warmer and more comfortable.
Did not feel like a full-service hotel, let alone a 5-star hotel. This isn't to say it's a bad property but should probably be advertised as a serviced apartment or "apart-hotel" without kitchens or laundry facilities. The service varies but the woman who checked me in was nice, some staff were less pleasant. One porter (Josef) was very rude and told me to go to a pharmacy at 8pm when in fact it closed at 5.30. In room dining was terrible and very overpriced. The rooms were huge but I didn't like them as some of the buttons, locks and other amenities were hard to use and the room felt worn. Location wise it was good. I saw very few guests and was thankful of its quietness. The hotel didn't have much amenities but the prices were reasonable
Our stay at Hotel Alden Splügenschloss Zürich - Leonardo Limited Edition was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality of the entire team made us feel truly welcome. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
The suites are incredibly spacious, elegant, and beautifully maintained, offering the perfect combination of luxury and comfort. The beds were extremely comfortable, the ambiance was peaceful, and every detail in the room reflected sophistication and class. The hotel’s quiet yet central location makes it ideal for exploring Zürich while still enjoying complete relaxation.
What impressed us most was the outstanding hospitality. The staff were always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with anything needed. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly sets this hotel apart., the cleanliness impeccable, and the overall atmosphere felt warm, luxurious, and welcoming.
Without a doubt, this is one of the finest boutique hotels in Zürich, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, elegance, and world-class hospitality. We look forward to returning again soon.
