Clean well appointed rooms.
Bath in the bathroom

Cons:

One member of staff was a bit rude, If I don't want to use the lift because the stairs are being wiped over when I arrive then that is my choice.

Pros:

Location was brilliant for our trip to the Theatre. The room was comfortable and quite and the breakfast was also good. Would certainly use again if visiting Basingstoke.

Great stay
Pros:

Proximity to the theatre we were attending. Room was a decent size & bed was comfortable. There was a fan in the room which was a godsend in the extremely hot weather.

Hotel close to amenities
Pros:

I loved the friendly staff, the size of the room,disliked the softness of the bed way to soft and sank in it, breakfast was good except runny scrambled egg, loved how close it was to shops, restaurants etc, very quiet hotel will be back again

Runny scrambled egg, and bacon needed to be crispier, needed firmer matress in room

Didn't want to go home
Pros:

Everything and will definitely come back Had my 70 th special birthday family party there a great surprise made me cry . Everything was exceptional we stayed 2 nites and my husband who is disabled and many ailments just wants to keep coming back to Red Lion We love it . We recommend to many people my son being in entertainment business too Basingstoke Red Lion is the best ⭐⭐⭐

Welcoming, well priced, central location. Good value for money.
Pros:

Staff were friendly & accommodating.
Town location so no need to get in the car as everything accessible on foot including the Anvil centre.

Cons:

It is close to a karaoke bar so Saturday night was noisy so we needed to close the windows.

Enjoyed my stay. Very convenient to all the shopping. This was my local pub, when it was a pub.
Pros:

My room was great. The bed was comfortable and it had all the facilities I needed. The lady who cleaned my room was very thorough, so I always had enough coffee and milk.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

I always sleep on the right side of the bed, when looking at the bed, but when using the bed lamp, on that side, the switch turns on the main room light as well. Why don't the lamp switches work, individually. for each light? That is only thing that I didn't like.
