Pros:

This is difficult to review. We booked on the phone app with 3 dogs, the booking app says it was fine. On the browser it apparently says only 1 dog under 15kg. I had already had a drink. Was told I had to leave. Refused and was told I had to book another room for £100 but didnt need to use it. Looked at the website (booking.com) and there was the 15kg limit, but not on the phone, only on website app. Ended up having to pay 35 per dog. Felt a bit strange, wife was upset, ended up eating food in a windy garden. Total cost was £405. Staff were lovely mostly. Food was amazing but we ordered it before we were told to leave so a bit of a letdown. If you are dogless or have a dog under 15kg its a 9. Poor girl on reception had to explain we had to leave. Management team refused to engage

Pros:

Fantastic spa facilities and lovely lounge/bar

Cons:

Room was pleasant, lacked enough room amenities so had to ask for more in the lounge. Bathroom lacked toilet brush. TV wasn't working other than one channel. Awful location, quite remote without any amenities nearby. Closest destination to drive to is Slough and that says enough! Will not be booking anywhere close to Slough so won't be returning here.

Relaxation Break
Pros:

Hotel location was fine, but our room had no air conditioning! The room was slightly smaller than expected too based on the online images. Given the time of year, we had to sleep with the window wide open on to a roof which had a very noisy extractor fan that ran all night. The food was good but we were surprised to find a service charge automatically added to our final account given that we were DBB clients.

Good get away
Pros:

Wonderful quiet location and the decor was cosy. Unfortunately had a room without air conditioning which meant sleeping was difficult.
The massages by Erica were wonderful.
The food was excellent and the staff, Eliza and Ilona made the experience even better. Very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Better hotels in Windsor
Pros:

Breakfast ok

Cons:

Rude staff on the Sunday in the restaurant and one day understaffed. I asked for some glasses for
Water. She tuttied raising her eyes to the ceiling then slammed one glass down! Tall man with glasses has vile habit of “snorting” around the guests. Tables not cleared therefore leaving people
Waiting to sit.

Absolutely in love with this hotel
Pros:

We came for a wedding this weekend and we could not fault anything!

As soon as we walked into the reception we were welcomed by the team. They were so friendly and you could tell they really love their jobs.

We booked an oak character bedroom which was just stunning, our room was actually very cool considering it had no AC. We also had a beautiful view of the lawn which was really nice and plenty of space. The beds were super comfy, there was plenty of storage and the decor was so unique.

The wedding on the day was stunning, all areas we were in were cool and a nice breeze would flow through the hotel.

Understandably it is hot so we were expecting it to be an exhausting day (especially as no building in this country is not made for this kind of heat!) but we left energized, happy and relaxed.

The staff truly went above and beyond, they were so busy but no matter what they did their very best. There was always someone on hand to help. We did witness a lot of difficult guests during our stay who were rude to the staff… the staff handled this so so well! They were so accommodating and so kind to all guests. Whoever trained these staff deserves a pat on the back!

Finally our breakfast, what a spread! It was delicious and there was so much offered. The food was healthy, fresh and so tasteful. Most hotels we go to don’t offer such a mixture of items such as this. Well done to the chefs 👏

Overall we had the best experience we have ever had at a hotel. Frankly we think this hotel should be 5 star, that’s how good it is. Truly a little gem hidden away.

Don’t walk, RUN to book a stay here. Totally worth every penny. ❤️

Do not stay here
Pros:

From the moment we arrived, Burnham Beeches was a total disappointment. There’s a self check in which does not feel premium and the lady who oversees seemed pretty fed up and cold (probably from all the other complaints). We asked to change our room to one with air con but all rooms were booked up, they said we have a fan in our room. Luckily we had brought our own fan too as the room was sauna, horrendous. Not only that, when entering the room, I could not believe that it was even part of the same hotel, it was like we had been catfished. The carpet was dirty, corners of the room hadn’t been cleaned, walls had marks on, bathroom was tired and mouldy. There was no fridge and the room was absolutely tiny. The sockets weren’t working, only one single socket was working on the far side of the room which kept going off and on again. Therefore we could only plug one fan in and not charge our phones. The sockets that weren’t working were right by the kettle, so we couldn’t even use that - the socket looked like it had blown and had been glued back on. When maintenance finally came up (who was friendly), he offered us an extension cable. The room was unbearably hot, even with the two fans - how they have not fitted aircon in every room is madness, this is a 4 star hotel, heatwaves are a common occurrence, you would have thought they would have invested in them to make their guest’s stays as pleasant as possible. We made peace with the fact our room was awful, luckily we were at a wedding all day so had minimum time in there but if we had to get ready in there, it would have been horrendous. In the morning we went down for breakfast, it was ok. The coffee machine was broken and when we asked a gentleman for help, he looked at us as if we were a total inconvenience. There was zero rushing at all to fix it, everything was at a leisurely pace. Food items weren’t replaced when they ran out. The breakfast room was uncomfortably hot. When we returned for breakfast the next morning, it was like it could not get any worse. The lady told us that the main breakfast room is full, but we can go in the other room. Another member of staff told her that room was full too, so she said to us “sorry there’s no where to sit”. We looked around and it was because they hadn’t cleaned the tables, we said “why don’t you just clean us a table”, and she said “ah yes”. We ended up finding a dirty table to sit on. Worst experience we have had in a hotel, a special occasion was tarnished.

Pending payment problems
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent and some of the staff were lovely. Convenient for the nearby wedding I attended.

Cons:

The doors to the hotel rooms need a good scrub. Lots of dirty handmarks noted. Our room also smelt stale. No mini fridge. Otherwise it was very clean. The common areas are not air conditioned and some areas were swelteringly hot on the 34° days. Fortunately we booked a room with A/C but not all of the rooms do.
The most annoying problem at this hotel was on arrival a holding payment was taken from my card even though the booking had already been guaranteed. On check out the payment was taken again. This has been processed but a pending payment for the full amount is also still showing on my account several days later so I have effectively payed upfront twice and am now having to wait for the pending payment to reverse so I am temporarily several hundred dollars out of pocket. This hasn't happened at any other of the several hotels I spent 2 weeks in in the UK and is not acceptable. I think this hotel needs to review their systems around this.

Fabulous food and Sarah made the day!
Pros:

The Evergreen Tearoom for a Birthday voucher treat, chose cream team! What a wonderful experience brilliantly hosted by Sarah who couldn't do enough for us. I took my 89 year old mother in law and husband. Sarah allowed my husband's emotional support dog and looked after him with a welcome bowl of water on a very hot day (the dog not the husband). Well done one and all.
