L'esprit de l'ancien et la convivialité du personnel
Manque d'ascenseur, porter 2 grosses valises à été un calvaire. Hotel mal insonorisé et beau de passage d’avion
Attractive guest spaces. Wellness centre.
Very hot room.
The staff made every effort to make our anniversary special. The facilities are excellent, the suite clean, had everything you needed and was very comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect. Plenty of parking spacious grounds. The tea room food was excellent as was breakfast and dinner. Location perfect for a quick drive into Eton/Windsor etc.
Minor thing tiling around the edge of the pool could do with attention the water was lovely and cool.
We will be back again for sure.
near london
no air con in my room - no working phone in room- has to pay extra to use pool
What a precious wonderful trip. I am in the middle of a cancer nightmare and could not be away from hospital clinic for more than one night. We went as a family my wife 11, 10 and 8 year old and myself.
We had an unbelievable stay Ian was so kind charming caring and welcoming. The pool fab the kids had space and time and a child friendly shallow end.
In fact our stay was so special we told lots of friends and 4 drove up from London and joined us in the Arden Room/bar for drinks and we sat in the beautiful grounds until 11pm....kids as well. Liviu was very attentive and took our multiple drinks orders and was patient and kind.
Breakfast was incredible the rooms spacious and air con a real luxury in this British Heatwave.
Ian and a lovely blonde lady as front of house is a real USP as we felt like family not just guests. I can't forget my cancer but I was allowed to have a mental escape in best possible way . Thank you Burnham Beeches Hotel Team
The room's furniture and the place
The noise we can hear even the steps
The service was excellent , the food great, the bed comfy, the shower powerful and the house was lovely
A better coffee at breakfast !
We stayed at Burnham Beeches Hotel the night before our wedding and booked two rooms, with approximately 30 of our wedding guests also staying at the property. Given the importance of the occasion, we expected a comfortable and restful experience. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing hotel stays we have ever had.
The hotel was hosting another wedding on the property that evening. While we appreciate that hotels often host multiple events, the noise levels were completely unacceptable. The music, and particularly the bass, reverberated through the walls and could be both heard and felt from our room until late into the night. This wasn't a minor inconvenience or distant background noise. It was impossible to ignore.
We contacted the front desk multiple times throughout the evening regarding the disturbance. While staff indicated they would speak with the DJ and reduce the volume, the issue persisted. Several of our guests independently complained as well. As the bride, not being able to sleep properly the night before my wedding was incredibly upsetting and added unnecessary stress to what should have been a special and memorable evening.
To make matters worse, we had specifically booked a second room for the groom the night before the wedding. Unfortunately, that room was located even closer to the event space and was effectively unusable due to the noise and vibration from the music. We paid for a room that we simply could not use for its intended purpose.
The disruption did not end when the wedding reception concluded. The noise continued as guests departed, with shouting, conversations, and vehicles outside the hotel. Following that, vendors began breaking down the event nearby and continued making noise until approximately 2:00 a.m. Any hope of getting a full night's rest before our wedding day was lost.
What concerns me most is that this appears to be a systemic issue. If a hotel intends to host large wedding events while also accommodating other overnight guests, there should be adequate soundproofing, room allocation strategies, and operational controls to ensure that non-event guests are not subjected to this level of disturbance. Based on our experience, Burnham Beeches does not appear to have the infrastructure or procedures necessary to do both successfully.
Perhaps most disappointing was management's response after the fact. After detailing our concerns, including the fact that the second room was unusable, we were told that noise levels complied with regulations and therefore no compensation would be offered. We were instead offered afternoon tea and a discount on a future stay. Frankly, after the hotel failed to provide a usable room and disrupted the night before our wedding, this response felt dismissive and failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the situation.
The night before your wedding is something you only experience once. Unfortunately, Burnham Beeches turned what should have been a relaxing and meaningful evening into a stressful and sleepless one. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone planning an important event or seeking a quiet stay, and we certainly will not be returning.
Nice lobby, bar and restaurant. These areas were lovely.
The spa was a little tired. Some walls in the hotel room had scruff marks. Needed a little Tlc.
We also noticed that people left drinks outside their room to be cleared but these were left longer than expected.
A little disappointing to be honest, pool was turned off and was cold, hot tub also Luke warm
Room had Black marks on carpet and smelt like terrible. had to open windows. this was in old side of house no lifts and had to carry case to room..
Breakfast felt rushed as lady hovered over table , wanting us to leave? felt uncomfortable and not welcoming at all., i don't think i would recommend to others
The grounds were really nice as was the food and drink
The room was outrageously hot. The weather obviously cant be controlled but the fan and the room didnt do anything at all. I understand the theme rooms.dont have air con and thats fine as long as the fans are any good, but they were old and need replacing. I had to actuslly check thst the blades were on the right way round as couldnt work out how somwthing can spin so fast, yet produce no breeze what so ever!
Also the furniture is tired and not really enough storage for clothing
Location was great and near to where I was looking for.
The lack of a greeting or a welcome. No staff around and had to check in via computer. Had no details of the hotel stay or facilities etc. I had no main light in my room which I reported to reception, room was noisy as it was at the top of the corridor by the stairs and WiFi was limited. Overall really disappointed.
The breakfast was good and we were able to check in early.
The cleaning was disappointing because we had to dust the table after we switched the fan on dust went everywhere. Also the receptionist tried to overcharge for an additional breakfast .
Very comfortable with a nice vibe
