I actually wanted to put a complaint as no communication from the receptionist when our window could not shut in the night .
Filthy uncleared bathroom .
Sewage smell
I need to speak to someone about this because this is definitely unhealthy & unhygienic.
Cobwebs and dust on window ledges for asthma visitor did not help .
Everything ,
I'd booked this so I could visit Windsor Castle. Everything was ok with breakfast and the room. The real boon was I could leave the car in their car park and walk to and from Windsor Castle easily. There's also a bus stop nearby that stops close to the castle. There's also interesting things in Old Windsor to see such as Magna Carta memorial and Peter & Pauls church.
Nothing really.
Lovely location
Nothing
Excellent location if your visiting Chessington or Legoland, fab for kids and so clean and classy
Very clean plenty to do
No kids menu for evening meal
Breakfast was OK. Bed was good.
When booking, the photos made you think you will be staying at a beautiful estate. It felt just like student accomodation in a worn college. The whole development is very confusing with a mulitude of buildings, most of them very unattractive, attached to the old white mansion. Rooms were claustrophobic with windows barely possible to open in the heat. Corridors very hot. Lift was dirty, worn and hot. Weird layout of room entrance with a very tight shared space for two and two rooms, so tight it was difficult to pass with a suitcase and door turning into the space. There were cob webs between window panes, bath panels damaged. Some mold. A very long way to walk to get to reception and breakfast room.
Lovely setting and great location. Staff tried really hard despite the major issues they faced. Beds were comfortable.
No air conditioning so over 25 degrees in the bedroom with only a little fan to try and circulate the hot air. Windows only opened 5cm and the rooms were small so was very claustrophobic. Check in was terrible - at 3pm the queue was out of the hotel and didn’t reduce properly for 2 hours. Eventually got a room key but two rooms share an outer door (very odd set up) and couldn’t get in. Housekeeping master key couldn’t override it either and it was a good 5 mins walk back to reception in the heat. Never did get into that room - ended up in the third room we had booked. Left at 7am without breakfast as thought it would be a bit of a shambles. Would not recommend and definitely wouldn’t stay again.
Quiet value for money
Cleanliness
Staff not helpful
Lovely grounds and great location in a quiet area, but close to local attractions.
A/C would have been appreciated. Breakfast was good but the tables are way too close together and very squashed when it’s busy.
Stayed here many times. Breakfast always a winner. Nice pool but don't expect to be able to actually swim at peak times as there are kids with floats everywhere (including the designated lane). Nice penhalligon's soaps in room. Lots for kids to do outside on grounds too.
It was the tail end of the May heatwave and even with two fans in the room, it was far too hot (no Aircon) For our eight year old not to fall asleep until gone midnight wasn't very relaxing. We were in room 223 and the window mechanism was broken too. Could not be shut and had quite a few mozzies in the room as a result. Sad that the hotel seemed to have gotten rid of the ice machine in the corridor. It was always part of why we kept coming back so often. Just not the stay we were hoping for this time.
Beautiful estate with spacious rooms.
The room can get a bit hot and stuffy.
James on reception outstanding
Hotel too big
Difficult finding restaurants and getting into the gardens.Hotel is for children visiting legoland .Food not very good.I
Clean, good location
No aircon in the rooms in 30 degree heat, pool periodically closed because of occupancy rates so couldn't use for 3 days
Space and cleanliness . Loved the park , the green and the quietness. Great for families
Limited option for the dinner buffet but good quality
