Very friendly staff and great coffee

Just a quick note to pass on our sincere thanks to all of the staff at your hotel for their excellent service during our stay for the Adair / Gilmore wedding on Monday 17th August 2026.

A particular thanks to Ellie who was fantastic as Master of Ceremonies - a real gem who made the day most enjoyable and stress free for the couple and their guests.

We booked the La Mon for hosting a very special event for my daughter. From very first contact, Clare, the Sales & Events Manager, was so welcoming and helpful. Her help and guidance the whole way through organising the event was amazing, and nothing was any trouble.

We had lunch in the restaurant the afternoon of the event, the food was really lovely and we received a fantastic service.

The event itself was a huge success, all of the guests commented how lovely the food was that was served at it, as well as what a beautiful location it was. We were really well looked after by the team.

There were a number of guests, including ourselves, that stayed over in the hotel. The room we had was beautiful, clean, spacious and had everything in it that we needed. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. The kids all loved the pool.

Despite there being a number of functions on in the hotel, there was no issue with noise.

Every single member of staff that we encountered was so helpful, pleasant and professional.
We are so glad we chose the La Mon, and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

I came to you for my spa day today and I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of your wonderful, lovely staff. I have been struggling so much with stress and anxiety recently and I left feeling a completely different person today! Everyone I spoke to today was warm and helpful which made such a big difference to the experience. I was also blown away by the variety offered for a dairy-free afternoon tea! I haven’t had anything that nice (or chocolatey) since having to cut out dairy - so thank you. I really appreciate the level of effort.

The location is perfect, lovely pool and kids playroom. Good breakfast, delicious food!

We stayed here for a 2 night getaway. Any staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We made good use of the pool area, which was also clean. The food from breakfast to evening meal was delicious. A very relaxed atmosphere. We would definitely return.

Terrible half the staff can't speak English and stink, place is dirty and outdated and food is microwave meals charged at restaurant prices.

We arrived for a wedding and quickly left our bags into our room we came back to our room very late that night and a little worst for wear when we woke in the morning we where horrified at the state of the room with stained table top and marks at the bottom of the toilet and the shower head that looks like it had never need cleaned since installing when I told reception while checking out she said oh I thought you where going to complain about the false tan stains as they had another guest in the room before we arrived the she proceeded to check us out like it was completely ok to be given a dirty room I couldn’t wait to leave

Hotel staff were warm and welcoming, easy xheck i. Process. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Sraff were very great, friendly and helpful. Beautiful location and well kept gardens.

We left a review to la mon survey following our stay about the lack of understanding of allergies in the restaurant. Noone contacted us

Our child's meal arrived wrong. As parents we waited until his arrived so our food was then cold

A little way out in the countryside, but a great hotel, and the staff were outstanding. Strongly recommend the Sunday carvery !

We have stayed a number of times but this was the most disappointing... Nothing we would complain about but just not the usual... We would have ranked it as our favourite get away but not sure now
Booking and check in perfect and room was ready at 2pm
Room... Tired, very small double bed iron burn on the carpet, bit missing off tap
Health suite OK but very busy with kids but it is summer, so we understand, jacuzzi did not work for an hour I had to get out and go to reception to ask, to be told I need to press the button which we had been doing.... But it did restart
Breakfast... We went at 9:30 no croissants, 2 pastry , no offer of tea had to fill our own pots... Just not normal fab service

I stayed at this hotel for four nights in my comfortable, modern, quiet and clean room. The location just outside Belfast in countryside is peaceful and the hotel is surrounded by carefully tended flower beds and garden. The hands on owners could not do more to make their guests welcome. The staff were cheerful and efficient. I ate breakfast and dinner each day in the restaurant and the food and menu choices were excellent. This is an outstanding hotel and I have no hesitation in recommending it. I look forward to returning sometime.

Just back from a 4 night stay with a coach tour. Hotel was great rooms a good size gardens and hotel is very clean. Food was good only criticism would be the drinks are expensive

My sisters and I had a perfect stay and Spa experience. We had the Spring offer which included dinner and was amazing value. Food and service were faultless, we really were made to feel welcomed by such friendly and personable staff. Treatments were bliss and the room was large enough that we could enjoy, get ready in comfort. Such a treat for busy working Mum's who just wanted some laughs and La Mon were the perfect hosts. Would love to make it a monthly 'self care' experience and we are already discussing our next escape.
