It was convenient for where we wanted to visit
The position of our room
The damp smell in our room
The breakfast offered and attitude of some staff
The lack of parking
Conveniently located right by the Speyside Way path, which is a great link to both Aberlour and Dufftown by bike (if you don't mind biking in Scottish weather, haha).
The room was really big and comfortable, their house toiletries were also really good. It was clean and tidy.
The ladies at reception were very nice and helpful. The Spay Inn restaurant (on the premises) was also very good - both food and service were great.
The comfortable feeling this Hotel gives. The staff we came in contact with - two dining areas, and the bar lounge were very friendly and helpful.
Sorry, but , the only problem we had, was the stairs, we managed. On our next visit, we would ask for a room more suitable to our requirements.
Trevligt hotell med en fantastisk whiskybar
First, the staff at The Craigellachie Hotel were responsive, kind and helpful!! The hotel is cozy and charming. My only con is that of it's furnishings are a bit threadbare, but otherwise a great spot to land in The Spey area- close to everything and the surroundings are gorgeous!! The bar/pub is inviting, the dinner was great and the whiskey bar was the best...
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. The concierge booked us in and arranged dinner for us 30 min later, which was really lovely. Food in the restaurant was amazing and super creative. We then went upstairs into the most amazing whisky bar where the sommelier was not only super friendly but knew her whiskies. We had an amazing time and the restaurant brought our cheese and crackers upstairs so that we could eat it while tasting whiskies. She guided and recommended a few not so well known distilleries. The room was great, a super comfy bed, a delightful bathroom and shower with super nice shampoo and conditioner that I bought. Breakfast was equally wonderful, full buffet and specific orders to taste - also really well done. WiFi was excellent and parking easy!
Oude hotel met veel charme
A very comfortable and clean hotel with an exceptional whisky bar and elevated pub style restaurant.
The fine dining restaurant was not open on the night we were staying.
It is a place I will remember forever. It has a very distinct character and fits in the context. I wish I could stay there longer, but it is a shame I could only stay one night. I felt like I was treated very well. It is not cheap to stay but it was worth it. I want to go there and have dinner in the restaurant next time
Nothing.
Sehr gute Whisky Bar! Sehr schöner Gemeinschaftsraum / Wohnzimmer. Sehr schöner Frühstücksraum.
Freundlicher Empfang.
Gorgeous location and beautiful interior spaces. Breakfast was smashing and the decor is gorgeous. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room was small for what we paid and didn’t like the music playlist but that’s just a taste thing.
Exceptional little hotel in the heart of the Speyside. The hotel reception staff was incredible and helpful, the lady at the front desk made our stay even more welcoming with her stunning wit and friendliness. The facilities and location is exceptional. I would recommend a day extra to do just the hiking trails from the hotel. It is definitely worth it but not necessarily possible after a distillery tour or two. We will be back. Thank you
Nothing
Went to the Spey Inn for lunch, had mussels and lobster which was amazing and the service was excellent. Would highly recommend
Super Region
Wunderbare Whisky Bar
Nettes Restaurant
Zimmer schmutzig, in allen Belangen!
Mobiliar alt aber nicht schön.
Frühstücksbuffet wurde nur zögerlich ergänzt.
Keine Kaffeelöffel??
I feel truely privileged as I won an over night stay with dinner bed and breakfast, at the spirit of speyside opening dinner.
I arrived with my husband, checked in, our room was spacious, and had the wow factor, it was beautiful.
We had a meal in the Spey Inn restaurant. The food was truely amazing, could not fault anything. The staff were friendly and were very efficient. Visited the whisky bar which was amazing. I would definitely recommend paying a visit.
