Perfect welcome to the West Highlands
Pros:

This was the first hotel in our trip to the Highlands, and it couldn’t have started better: the location is simply gorgeous. Our room (Captain Sea View) was very spacious, comfortable, with an excellent bathroom, and plenty of toiletries and coffee/tea making stuff. Everyone in our group enjoyed dinner at the seafood restaurant, which was fresh and genuinely deliciously. But the staff was really the star of the show, always friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

Everything was great. If I were to be very picky, maybe improving the continental breakfast offer. That said, the cooked breakfast is delicious and typical of the area.

Great views, good breakfast, good stay to access lovely walks of Glencoe & sights of Fort William
Pros:

Stunning view across the Loch and well placed a short distance from the A road roundabout from Fort William. A good place to stay if walking in Glencoe, slightly out of the central v touristy / hiker parts of Glencoe. 10 min drive to the key walks of Glencoe, 25 min drive to the ski lift. Would stay there again. Excellent breakfast. I dont think we had lunch or dinner there as we were out most of the day...

Cons:

No lift and so quite tough to haul heavy suitcases up the narrow staircase to the 2nd floor...

Tolle Lage, schöne Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer und im Restaurant

Cons:

Selbstbeschreibung des Hotels als Luxusunterbringung trifft nicht zu. Zimmer grundsätzlich ok, aber Hotel insgesamt in die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt. Lobby war bei unserem Aufenthalt mit Kisten vollgestellt. Abschließen des Zimmers war Glückssache, da sich der Schlüssel endlos drehen ließ, ohne dass das Türschloss reagierte. Frühstücksangebot lieblos, eher Kantinencharme, wenn man nicht die Aussicht auf den Loch gehabt hätte. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis unangemessen, deutlich überteuert.
