I stayed there between 14th to 16th July 2026.
1. The manager Hubet was rude. He was irritable when we asked questions about breakfast.
He was very keen to collect only money .
He didn't bother about changing the room despite I told him to change it on the second day .
He didn't encouraged us to watch TV in the bar , very rude .
2. I was given a very dirty and a very small room although I paid £ 232 for two nights.
3. Cob webs and spiders in the bathroom and in the ceiling of the room.
4. The bathroom sink was not cleaned , stained.
5 . windows couldn't be open despite it was a very hot day
6. The picture in booking.com didn't reflect the true size and the cleanliness of the room .
7. I was told by the staff Rachel that she will discuss with another manager and refund the money , but I haven't received any money back from them . Very disappointed
8. The hotel should be removed from the booking. Com website.
9. The hotel is far away from town , shouldn't be thos priced anyway

No AC but it's an older building - fan in the room

The breakfast was very good & plenty of it. The staff couldn't do enough to help.
It has been exceptional weather, over 30 C. & sleeping has been difficult.

Good location as going to Speedway at Northampton. Staff all very helpful
Room was hot and windows not easy to open as sash but there was a fan. Skirting board and window could have been cleaner and always good to remove mould from bath silicone
Friendly staff easy parking, room was a little too hot but they had fans to try mitigate that, cute little venue with quaint gardens for a beer, the staff really helpful, even made me a coffee for my trip home 😃

Pretty much everything. Food in the restaurant was good value and plenty of it. Breakfast was fine.
Bed mattress was a bit tired and ‘gutless’.

The exterior isn't very appealing and could do with a spruce up.

I stayed at The French Partridge for work and had such a lovely stay.
Tony and the team were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They genuinely made me feel like I was coming “home” at the end of each day.
Nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The team were attentive throughout my stay and always popping back to top up teas and coffees, which was such a nice touch.
The food was fantastic too. I’d highly recommend the Seared Duck.
The hotel itself is a listed heritage building, so it has plenty of character and charm. If you are looking for somewhere polished and ultra-modern, this probably is not it, but if you appreciate historic buildings, good people and a warm atmosphere, it is a really special place to stay.
