Central location, good decor, furnishings and comfy bed.
Most staff friendly and helpful but see other comment on dining staff.
Cost us £148 pppn for B&B, too expensive.
First breakfast was delayed, cold and with lumpy haggis. Other breakfasts were better.
The lady maitre d' in dining room was abrupt but this may be a cultural thing as she sounded foreign.
The dinner menu for the Brasserie did not appeal, we found more suitable choices in the nearby Royal hotel lounge.
Not enough room for clothes, two hangers per person, no hooks for jackets etc.
Difficulty operating heater when rooms got cold.
Good traditional hotel. Comfortable spacious room. Pleasant public areas and bar. Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast. Perfect location for ferries to the islands, the train and the coach.
The on site restaurant was very good, but rather on the expensive side.
This was a very nice, clean hotel, with friendly staff, convenient to local shops and within walking distance of many restaurants. I would definitely recommend it.
Breakfasts
location great
The junior suite wasn't anything special for the price
Perfect location if arriving by train or ferry and adjacent to just about everything you'd want in Oban. We were welcomed by the charming Laura who made sure we understood the layout and ameneties of the hotel and set our breakfast reservations for the stay, which are required during the busy season. Room 106 was, by our standards at least, huge with a very comfortable bed, a couch, desk and two chairs facing the bay window overlooking the harbor. There was a walk-in closet, a dressing area and an immense bathroom with tub and shower. It would have been very easy to sit all day in the chairs watching the harbor activity, but other adventures were calling. Housekeeping was top notch. Though it is a Victorian era building, they have done a good job at upgrading it with modern fixtures whilst maintaining many original elements. A very pleasant stay.

The male member of staff working the bar the night of our visit was rude
The Perle Oban Hotel & Spa is steps from the train station and offers one of the best views of the picturesque harbour bay. While the charming Victorian building has been refurbished for modern comfort, guests still have to contend with uneven floors and a lack of central air. In lieu of a mini bar, rooms feature Nespresso coffee, specialty teas and filtered water, along with delicious Scottish treats from Quirky Chocolate and Island Bakery. Served in a spacious dining area, breakfast includes both small a la carte portions and the usual continental buffet, with pastries being the highlight. Although service was indifferent overall, the hotel provides an ideal location for island hopping and short hikes to breathtaking viewpoints.
Sehr zentrale Lage - direkt am Hafen und um die Ecke zur Bushaltestelle. Schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang.
Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Can recommend the porridge.
High price but admittedly, it was first class, with a lovely room and gorgeous view!
I had a nice tv in the room and breakfast was good and enjoyable with a varied choice.
My very expensive room was awful - it was a very small L-shaped room under the eaves, poky and claustrophobic. I had no room to move about in it. The bathroom was extra small, short deep bath. I have a video of my accommodation for the two nights which I can forward to to you if you wish.
Front desk staff were average, bar staff were totally impersonal - with them there was no eye contact or effort to engage.
Location, comfortable bed, facilities in room. Friendly, efficient staff.
You’ve stopped serving black pudding at breakfast! No self respecting Scottish person eats haggis for breakfast. Why are you offering this foreign tourist bait?
This hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal. I booked the standard double with a sea view. The room was spacious with a bay window overlooking the harbor. It was also very quiet. Although the bathroom was small, there is a good amount of counter space. The water took a while to become hot. The breakfast buffet was not very extensive, but there is a menu from which to order hot dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
