Lovely time in a lovely place.
Pros:

Location, comfortable bed, facilities in room. Friendly, efficient staff.

Cons:

You’ve stopped serving black pudding at breakfast! No self respecting Scottish person eats haggis for breakfast. Why are you offering this foreign tourist bait?

Pleasant stay
Pros:

This hotel is conveniently located near the ferry terminal. I booked the standard double with a sea view. The room was spacious with a bay window overlooking the harbor. It was also very quiet. Although the bathroom was small, there is a good amount of counter space. The water took a while to become hot. The breakfast buffet was not very extensive, but there is a menu from which to order hot dishes. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Fantastic stay
Pros:

Fantastic location-- steps from the train station and ferry port, and a short walk from restaurants, bars, shopping and the Oban Distillery. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely updated. The toiletries provided were very nice. Breakfast was better than many other hotels I've visited. The reception staff was friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Enjoyable stay as always
Pros:

Have stayed in this hotel previously as it is in a great location in the centre. The room was a great size overlooking the front with superb views, and breakfast was plentiful as usual both hot and cold.

Cons:

Last orders in Lulu lounge at 10.30pm.....a bit sharp....meaning you are hurrying back if you don't leave a restaurant until 10.00pm!

Beautiful hotel in a great location.
Pros:

We had a very nice stay at the Perle Oban Hotel. The room was lovely! It was a large room with high ceilings and it had a seat near the window, which I loved. The location was perfect across from the sea and near restaurants and shops. Breakfast in the hotel was delicious with many made to order choices and a bar with cereals, meats and rolls. The only disappointment was that I had a sea view room and pretty much saw only the top of trees (see picture below)! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Pros:

Location was great, we had a good, large room to weather the poor weather. Food at breakfast was very good with numerous choices and a friendly staff.

Cons:

We had a touch of trouble with the room temperature, but it got sorted out okay.

Lovely downtown hotel with all the amenities
Pros:

Beautiful hotel located right downtown Oban. Rooms were incredibly clean. Staff are friendly and there is an elevator to assist with luggage.

Cons:

The rooms were a bit tight - particularly the bathrooms. This is not out of step with what we experienced elsewhere in Europe, but it is something to be aware of.
Check-in was a bit slow despite there only being a couple people in line.

Excellent - with a caveat about the pillows

THE PILLOWS!!! I’ve mentioned this before. A comfortable pillow is something which thousands of people spend a lot of time sourcing and the options are numerous. At the very least I think a good hotel should provide AT LEAST ONE FIRM ONE and ONE SOFT ONE. I’ve stayed several times at the Perle Oban and ALL THE AVAILABLE PILLOWS have been VERY FIRM. Apart from the pillows it’s a great place to stay.

Pros:

Location of Hotel was perfect for all local amenities. Breakfast tasty with varied menu.

Cons:

Although breakfast was very good was disappointed that on this stay choice of fresh fruit and berries was not offered
