Der Name „Hotel zur Erholung“ hat bei mir leider Erwartungen geweckt, die mein Aufenthalt nicht erfüllen konnte.
Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer viel befahrenen Landstraße, wodurch die Lage für mich alles andere als ruhig und erholsam war. Das Haus selbst versprüht eher den Charme der 70er-Jahre und wirkt insgesamt sehr altbacken und deutlich in die Jahre gekommen.
Besonders unangenehm empfand ich die Wärme im Hotel. Es gibt keine Klimatisierung, sodass es bei sommerlichen Temperaturen in den Räumen sehr warm und wenig komfortabel war.

Auch beim Frühstück fehlte mir eine angenehme, einladende Atmosphäre. Es wirkte insgesamt sehr nüchtern, die Auswahl war eher einfach – frisches Obst habe ich beispielsweise vermisst. Auch Wasser aus Plastikflaschen passt für mich nicht so recht zu einem zeitgemäßen Hotelaufenthalt.

Bei einem Preis von 105 € pro Nacht, zuzüglich Aufpreis für den Hund, hätte ich insgesamt deutlich mehr Komfort, Atmosphäre und Qualität erwartet.

Für mich persönlich stimmten Preis und Leistung leider nicht überein.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es gab die Möglichkeit, auf der Terrasse zu frühstücken. Celle war mit dem Rad in 45 Minuten gut zu erreichen. Es gab schöne Radfahrmöglichkeiten ringsum. Sehr freundliches Personal. Im Restaurant saß man wunderbar in einem lauschigen Garten, das Essen war hervorragend.

Cons:

Für uns waren die Betten zu weich, aber das ist ja Geschmackssache. Das Bad war extrem klein.
