A beautiful hotel that is let down by a poor bathroom facility
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful and the breakfast superb. Every type of guest could eat well. The views from the dining room are fabulous.

Cons:

The bathroom was poor and the shower was a bath you had to climb into. The shower itself was old and difficult to shower with. It let down the whole experience. On booking we thought parking was free. On arrival we had to pay £10 per night.A

Ok
Pros:

Breakfast was great. Near to pier.

Cons:

The room needed a good clean/dusting, side of wardrobe, under skirting etc. Had a dated look for 4 star hotel, decor was shabby/didn't make sense.

The balcony was locked off for safety reasons.

Thought it was expensive for the size of this "cosy double".

Then they charged me £10 a day for parking, what a cheek.

Wonderful weekend
Pros:

The Imperial is filled with character and style! Full of quirks and unashamedly in need of a full fat renovation - which would of course, totally destroy the character and history of the hotel - so please don't change a thing! Glorious views, lovely staff, good breakfast, and overall has a very romantic, and nostalgic feel to it. We all love to stay here and we will keep coming back

Cons:

It is as it is ... if you don't like old fashioned bath tubs, and old fashioned showers, and a place filled with history and built for royalty back in the last century - save your money for something modern, purpose built - and dull! This place ROCKS and we love it

Our stay was very enjoyable
Pros:

We had a wonderful sea view and a very comfortable room

Cons:

We didn’t like having a shower curtain, the space to shower was quite small so keep touching the curtain was inevitable, we also were very disappointed that the swimming pool was closed despite saying it was open on the introductory letter

Great location and large sea view balcony, but hotel is starting to feel quite dated.
Pros:

Location close to the centre of town, and a very large balcony that looked down to the sea

Cons:

The hotel is quite tired and dated with a couple of smells you get from an old carpet in certain corridors. It was great that the hotel had a gym, but the gym equipment is old and needs to be replaced and updated.

Spacious room
Pros:

We had a superior room with king size bed and balcony. The bathroom had been recently refurbished and was also very good. We did not have breakfast so cannot comment. We had a swim in the decent sized pool and made use of jacuzzi & steam room before checking out.
