Swans Brewery, Pub & Hotel

Das Zimmer war eine Katastrophe:
- es hat beim Ankommen dermaßen gestunken, dass wir zunächst einmal alle Fenster öffnen mussten und gleich wieder für ein paar Stunden weggegangen sind
- 2 Nächte konnten wir die Fenster nicht schließen wegen Geruch, dadurch die ganze Nacht laut
-abgewohntest
- dunkel
-verstopftes Waschbecken
- ein Schlafzimmer nur mit Luke an der Decke, die so verdreckt war, dass man sich nicht getraut hat zu öffnen
- Möbel nicht geputzt
Leider hatten wir keine andere Unterkunft gefunden und mussten 2 Nächchte dort bleiben.
Der Preis ist eine Frechheit.

The room was quite warm, didn’t seem like there was central a/c, and no individual a/c unit either just a fan.

Das Bad und die Möbel sind etwas älter.

No where in the booking of the hotel does it mention that you can end up with a room that faces an interior patio area. In fact, the photos of a one bedroom suite all show exterior windows. It made our one bedroom suite incredibly dark and depressing to face this patio/courtyard. The two windows and doors that open are directly facing other rooms so you can’t open blinds (or your door) without being on full display. To get air movement (no air conditioning) you need to open these windows and we had to keep them closed often due to the noise from the rooms looking in. We spent as little time as possible in our room as it was so depressing. We immediately started asking for a room switch but the hotel was full and they couldn’t make the switch (we were there for four nights.)

Very minor: as very often in Canada, WiFi is a captive network system, slow and switching itself off about twice a day.

No curtains so the sun creeped through the gaps in the blinds in the morning.

The property decor is quite dated and our room at the back was very loud due to rows of air conditioning units on the building next door. The unit itself did not have air conditioning and the ceiling fan squeaked with each revolution. The stairs to the loft bedroom were very long which meant quite a climb for nighttime visits to the washroom. A nightlight would be a good thing.
One daytime staff member was a bit snippy.

Bed

no parking lot.

It was very dark with no windows. Bedrooms upstairs and bathroom downstairs. It felt a bit spooky and claustrophobic even with the big space. Probably because of the lacking windows.
There wasn’t air conditioning so it was extremely hot.

Notre chambre donnait sur la rue ce qui nous a inquiété pour le bruit: finalement l'isolation extérieure était très bonne, en revanche l'isolation intérieure moyenne (bruit provenant des chambres voisines)

Das Zimmer und die Ausstattung sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Wir hatten kaum Tageslicht und dadurch wirkte alles etwas düster. Es riecht nicht angenehm, wenn man das erste Mal reinkommt.
