AX ODYCY Hotel

Other than the hotel’s facilities, there isn’t much to do in the vicinity. At the hotel’s lower-ground pool, the drinks weren’t great, the beer was always flat, and the cocktails were too watery.

My third time staying here, and this was the worst. Got to hotel after delayed flight and it was 43° just wanted to get shower and settle into out room. This was the first time taking our 11 year old daughter, we where told they where gonna upgrade us as we had been before. Goto to upgraded room and shower is clear glass and can be saw from room. Explained that I really didn't want to shower in front of my 11 year old. They looked baffled and said they where gonna cover the glass with something. I then showed them pictures of my previous room (the one I booked) and they said that they had no rooms like this as they where running at 98% occupancy. This is all going on whilst we just wanted to goto our room. Eventually this was sorted. I need to emphasise this is not like a turkey or tenerife all inclusive. There is so many restrictions and stuff that costs additional money.......like a bottle of water. 5 star luxury hotel and every day i saw people going to the shops to buy gaint multi packs of water
The lifts where chaos too, 6 lifts and you could wait ages for one only to be cramped in like the tube in rush hour.

The deserts at dinner. Everything has the same taste. And is too artificial.

Lifts are too small. Too much waiting time. Moreover is it normal practice for the housekeeper to open your room door and ask if everything is ok? This happened yesterday 22nd July at 5pm.

Me hubiera gustado que cuando pregunte por actividades en la.zona me hubieran dado informacion mas precisa y completa mas alla de que hay muchas actividades acuaticas cerca y que la ciudad de Mediella es muy bobita

There weren’t enough sun beds for the number of guests and the no reservation rule wasn’t enforced which resulted in nowhere to sit whilst many sun beds had towels on them but remained unoccupied for hours at a time.

Es gab allerdings auch einige Punkte, die uns nicht so gut gefallen haben. Der Familienpool war für die Größe des Hotels zu klein und nicht besonders tief. Das Wasser war sehr warm und der Pool war meistens überfüllt. Da wir mit einem Kind gereist sind, war das der einzige Pool, den wir gemeinsam nutzen konnten. Die Pools auf dem Dach waren nur für Erwachsene und dort war es ebenfalls sehr voll, sodass es oft schwierig war, einen freien Platz zu finden.

Ein großer Minuspunkt war für uns der Speisesaal. Die Klimaanlage war dort so kalt eingestellt, dass es während des Frühstücks und Abendessens sehr unangenehm war. Die kalte Luft wurde direkt auf die Tische geblasen und am Ende unseres Urlaubs waren wir alle erkältet.

Das Essen hätte unserer Meinung nach besser organisiert sein können. Die Anordnung des Buffets wirkte etwas unübersichtlich – Fisch, Zwiebeln, Marmelade und Desserts standen teilweise direkt nebeneinander. Auch geschmacklich hat uns das Essen nicht immer überzeugt. Außerdem war es wegen der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit oft kaum möglich, Salz aus den Salzstreuern zu bekommen.

Schade fanden wir auch, dass es zwar mehrere Restaurants im Hotel gab, wir mit Halbpension aber nur eines davon nutzen konnten.

Die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit auf der Insel merkt man auch im Hotel. Besonders im Badezimmer könnten einige Silikonfugen erneuert werden.

Ein weiterer Minuspunkt war, dass es im Zimmer keinen Kleiderschrank gab. Unsere Kleidung mussten wir auf offenen Regalen aufbewahren. Durch die hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit hatten wir nach ein paar Tagen ständig das Gefühl, feuchte Kleidung zu tragen, obwohl sie sauber war.

This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel. Shortly after my stay, I developed chickenpox, which became an extremely serious illness. My temperature reached 40°C, I developed a rash and blisters all over my body, suffered severe pain, intense itching, and was left unable to enjoy the rest of my trip or carry on with my normal life. Chickenpox in adults is not a minor illness it can lead to serious complications and requires immediate medical attention.

I contacted the hotel to explain how seriously ill I had become, expecting empathy, concern, and a professional response. Instead, my concerns were dismissed. No one showed any genuine care or even attempted to follow up with me. The complete lack of compassion and customer service was shocking.

I am extremely disappointed by the way this hotel handled a serious health concern. Management should contact me directly to discuss this matter and provide appropriate compensation for the significant distress, disruption, and financial loss I have suffered. Ignoring a guest who has become seriously ill is simply unacceptable.
