Would have been great in a room with windows
Pros:

Great location, garden, parking and breakfast

Cons:

Was given a bunker room - I had just booked a room on booking.com. You should tell guests on check in that the room has no windows - not good for people who are claustrophobic

Beautiful hotel within a 5/10 minute stroll into the city centre, very clean and tidy and staff were extremely frien

Shame about the facilities when considering the cost
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel that we have stayed in multiple times. It is in a great location and the staff have always been very friendly

Pros:

Wunderschönes Haus mit aussergewöhnlich schönem Garten! Unser Zimmer war sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Pizza im Gartenrestaurant schmeckt sehr gut. Parkplatz vor dem Haus (allerdings kostenpflichtig).

Cons:

Wasserdruck in der Dusche war äusserst niedrig. Das Frühstück war zwar sehr lecker, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier aber leider nicht.

Not worth the money!
Pros:

The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and kind.

Cons:

The room was very small, pokey and dingy not at all like the photo they put on Booking.com. It wasn't cleaned very well and showed signs of wear and tear where guests had obviously banged bags and things against the walls as it was hard to squeeze through the gap between the bed and the wardrobe. It certainly wasn't value for the money they charged!

Wonderful hotel and great location
Pros:

Location was perfect The breakfast was really good you couldn't fault it at all.
All of the staff were friendly especially at reception.
The outside area was really pleasant to sit in.

Cons:

Nothing everything was great.

We had a lovely time in York, a fabulous city.
Pros:

The hotel was in an excellent location to the city.
The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful.

Cons:

The room was listed as a small double (giving bed size) but the room itself was very small for two people especially in the hot weather we have been experiencing.

Enjoyable as always
Pros:

having stayed here before we always enjoy our time at the Churchill hotel. In the hot weather it was nice to be able to use the outside facilities and the garden pizza bar is a good idea. Nothing seem to change at the Churchill which is nice

Cons:

The supply of hot water through to the bedroom took an eternity to come through and that needs to be looked at and improved
