This is an excellent, small, family run hotel, which offers great value for money, a very convenient location, and wonderful staff.
We only found out that a fridge could be requested for our room on the last day, and it’s a shame we weren’t told of this on check-in.
I was made feel at home from the moment I arrived. Yari assured me " you are at home". I met the manager, Maria, late in my stay. There was no mistaking the kindness and warmth in her voice. All the staff were very professional and friendly. Well done.
Small and very friendly Spanish hotel. The rooms are spotless and clean. Beautiful garden and pool area the staff are lovely people and will help with anything you need Looking forward to returning very soon
I spent 6 nights here in April alone . I had a 3rd floor room overthe garden with a sea view. The staff were friendly the room was cleaned every day and everything was great. I arrived at 1.15 in the morning and was still able to enjoy a drink in the bar.
Aldi was just up the road for balcony eating which is great being on your own. Bus stop outside for Fuengerola or cross the road for Malaga. Five minutes walk to the beach with numerous bars and restaurants.
I would not hesitate to visit again.

We've been coming to La Carihuela for the past 15+ years and stayed in many hotels, most are good and some excellent, this one is right up there for a family style, traditional look break, with impeccable service, very friendly and helpful staff team (thanks to Aline and her team), it's very clean and good sized rooms (air-conditioning and kettle included) with balcony and views. And the most lovely lady owner, who interacts with guests and she is such a character.
Breakfast is great and the garden grounds are beautifully laid out. It has a decent sized pool with loungers. The hotel is 5 minutes walk to the beach and has bus stops both ways directly outside (we did a day trip to Malaga). We honestly couldn't fault our stay in any way. The website doesn't do it justice.
