Important information:

Please note that, children under the age 16 need to be always accompanied by an adult in the pool. Please note that children can use the pool during the following times: Monday & Wednesday 14:00 till 17:00, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 09:00 till 11:00 and 14:00 till 17:00, Saturday & Sunday - 09:00 till 17:00. Half term swim times can vary so please do check with the hotel directly. Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00, Monday to Friday and 07:30 until 10:30, Saturday and Sunday. Bar food available from 12:00 until 22:00. Restaurant Dinner available from 18:00 till 21:30 with the last order at 21:00. Child age is 12 and under only. The credit / debit card used at the time of the booking needs to be presented upon check-in. When booking 10 rooms or more, different policies and additional supplements will apply. Wotton House has a stunning selection of suites and bedrooms, and we are proud to only host one wedding on any given day. If you are a Bride or Groom wishing to book a getting ready room prior to your wedding at a different location, please do call our reservations team to check availability directly. Dogs are charged at £30.00 per dog per night, and dogs are only allowed in certain room types. Please check availability first. Dogs are the only pets that Wotton House accepts. Christmas Day Lunch does require a pre-booking prior to 1st December and is subject to availability. New Years Eve gala dinner event is an adults only evening and required pre-booking prior to 1st December. No room service available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve & New Years Day. Christmas Eve last food orders in the bar at 20:45. Christmas Day no food available other than pre-booked options (excludes breakfast). Boxing Day last food orders in the bar at 20:45, pre-booking in the restaurant required. New Years Eve last food orders in the bar at 21:15 after this time no food available. New Years Day last food orders in the bar at 21:00, pre-booking in the restaurant required.

We were staying for a family wedding, venue was perfect and surrounding grounds.
Pros:

Gardens beautiful, public areas well kept and the surrounding area was fabulous, great for a walk or a run

Cons:

Accommodation was tired and required some attention. A small fridge would be useful for the complimentary water.

Cons:

The rooms were incredibly hot and it wasn’t a particularly warm weekend. Everyone on the floor really struggled with the heat

Great history and ambience
Pros:

Ambiance and hostorical shape. It is so peaceful and clean. Beds are extremely comfortable.

Cons:

The food is not particularly good, either for dining or breakfast. We would have expected a more diverse menu with a wider variety of flavours and options.

Pros:

We were there for a wedding which was lovely!

Cons:

Our room was extremely hot and the fan was useless. Plus we found someone else’s sunglasses in the room so I question how well it was cleaned prior to us being in there.

Cons:

The lift was not working, and I was on the second floor. As a single traveller, no one offered help. I had to ask another guest to help .

Enjoyable stay.
Pros:

Lovely building in beautiful location. Room had double aspect and view of lawns to the front. Good facilities in room including blackout curtains, comfy bed, great bathroom, everything spotlessly clean. I had requested a particular room and hotel was able to allocate it to us, so that was great. Very good breakfast, also nice bar and sitting rooms.

Cons:

Worn carpet on step in room is a potential trip hazard. Dinner was a bit disappointing for the price. Shame there was no indoor space where we could sit and enjoy a morning coffee without music playing.

Beautiful house and gardens in need of some decoration and repairs.
Pros:

Beautiful gardens and surroundings. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable.
Pool was nice and clean.

Cons:

Some areas quite scuffed and worn and some stains on the carpet.
Lift down to leisure club wasn't working.
No air con

Great location for forest hikes, requires refurbishment

1) great location near the forest, 2) nice grounds with gardens, 3) generally helpful staff

Cons:

1) the rooms are in obvious need for refurbishment (despite already being in this state 3 years ago), 2) the restaurant hostess was very slow

Pros:

Beautiful hotel with scenic grounds and friendly staff.

Cons:

When we stayed (August) the room was very warm. There was a fan in the room, which was helpful, but the bathroom became incredibly hot and humid with no windows or extractor fan. The pillows were quite lumpy, I would expect better at a premium price point.

Desperate need of AC! Nice garden & grounds.
Pros:

The grounds & the garden.
The breakfast (although it’s largely not included in the price).
The staff were kind.
The bed was comfortable

Cons:

No AC. Our room was insanely hot and it wasn’t even hot when we stayed.
The hotel provided a fan but it did not do much.
The windows barely opened and the latch was broken, so didn’t stay open.
The bathroom for a large room was tiny.
No fridge on the room, which is very very annoying.
The curtains were broken, so didn’t create a blackout room for our baby.

Pros:

The staff here are friendly and great at their jobs. We had a problem with our room but they sorted it even though they were full with 2 weddings. Very impressed with the service.

Cons:

No air conditioning meant the room was hot and we had to sleep with the window open
