Even though he is a newcomer to the team, Lucas handled everything with the confidence and grace of a seasoned hospitality veteran. He was warm, incredibly efficient, and went out of his way to ensure my room was perfect and that I felt instantly welcome. He is a fantastic addition to the 1 Hotel family.On the wellness side, Lavinia Christache completely blew me away. Her fitness classes are phenomenal. Lavinia brings an incredible energy, deep technical expertise, and a motivating spirit that pushed me to my limits while keeping the workout engaging and fun. She is an absolute asset to the hotel's wellness program.Between the breathtaking eco-luxury design, the pristine beach views, and world-class service from Michelle, Lucas, and Lavinia, this has easily become my favorite destination in Miami. I just returned from another incredible stay at the 1 Hotel after spending almost two weeks there, and once again it exceeded every expectation. At this point, it feels like a second home. I visit several times a year and typically stay for 12 nights or more, and the reason I keep coming back is simple: the people and the service are unmatched.
Over the years, I've gotten to know more than two dozen employees by name, which says a lot about the relationships this hotel helps create. The level of hospitality here is something special and unlike any other hotel I've experienced.
A huge thank you to Matt at the front desk. He is truly exceptional and one of the biggest reasons each stay feels so welcoming. No matter how late I get back after being out for the evening, Matt is often there to greet me with a smile, remembers my name, asks how my day was, and always makes me feel valued.
What really stands out about Matt is that his kindness never feels forced. He genuinely cares about guests and consistently goes above and beyond to make sure every stay is a great one. Whether it's helping with a request, checking in to make sure everything is going well, or simply taking a moment to have a conversation, he has a way of making you feel like more than just another guest. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are second to none, and he is a tremendous asset to the property.
The rooftop team also deserves recognition. Jordan, Guiliana, Andreas, Patrick, Nick, and so many others consistently go above and beyond. Whether I'm spending the day at the pool or having a meal at Watr, the service is always warm, attentive, and professional. After so many stays, many of them know my preferences, remember the little details, and always make me feel welcome. It's that level of consistency that keeps me coming back year after year.
I've stayed at many luxury hotels around the world, and very few make me look forward to returning the way this one does. I'm already looking at dates for my next trip in the next 2–3 months and can't wait to return. Thank you to Matt and the entire 1 Hotel team for making every stay memorable.
