We spent three nights at the Nordic Forum Hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious. Unfortunately, not all of them have a good view; our room on the seventh floor had a partial view of part of the city and part of the harbour in the distance. Room service is sometimes a bit slow, so the room still hadn’t been cleaned by the time we were ready for a midday rest. But that’s not a big deal.
The spa area, with a sauna (separate), steam room (shared) and pool area, isn’t particularly large, but it was never overcrowded or noisy, so I can definitely recommend it.
The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection, and omelettes are freshly prepared on request.
On-site parking is rather expensive (24 EUR per night).
Thanks to its central location right next to the old town, you don’t need public transport; however, if you want to go further afield, you’ll find various options just a few hundred metres from the hotel entrance, including a direct bus to the airport or to the ferry terminal.
I can recommend this hotel without any doubt.
