The location, the view from the lobby bar/restaurant and room, and especially the staff. Actually the staff stood out the most here. They were polite and friendly and really tried to make everyone feel at home.
The room was dated, the restaurant tried to be upperclass but fell short.
Didn't have breakfast, room was outstanding, such a great location and prefect.
Nothing really
I loved that the window and sliding doors to the outside opened. The view of the sea was nice. Some of the staff were very friendly but others were so-so. The bed and the pillows were comfortable. There were a lot of teas to select from in the room. The A/C and heating was efficient.
The computer screens on the reception desk were so huge and intrusive that you could not even see the staff so it was a very not so friendly and welcoming start to proceedings... there must be a way to mitigate this as i do not seem to recall it being like this in other hotels i have checked into.
The courtesy and efficiency of the guy on reception was wonderful. He could not have been more pleasant polite and helpful.
It could not have been better. I was even upgraded which was a pleasant surprise and so the stay exceeded my expectations.
Room was a great layout, lived the spa bath, and the bed was super comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Considering it was a 'luxury suite' i was surprised at how dated the decor etc was! Coffee table was old and scratched as were the sideboards and dining table and chairs were awful. Curtains old, even ripped in places. The so called balcony was a joke lol, it was about 4 feet from the door to the rail, no room for a chair etc, its more just a standing ledge and was chipped old painted concrete with mould and water stains...it was hideous to be fair. The worst part was the hallway leading to the room. Old cracked windows and filthy old musty carpet. I was honestly shocked. I dont like saying bad things but i was really disappointed with the lack of effort thats been made to keep the hotel aesthetically pleasing.
Bed is super comfy, staff very friendly and great location.

Great view and close to town

The lovely staff and made us feel super comfortable! The room was clean and beds were ultra comfortable (not to mention the waterfront view was beautiful).
The location was fantastic. We walked into town for dinner and a show and to the waterfront. The view from the main reception area was great - to have some comfy chairs to relax in. A great selection of teas in our room and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy!
I would also like to mention one of the staff members on the Saturday night (11th July)- we were unwinding in the reception lounge after returning from our show. The staff member possibly the supervisor/ duty manager, possibly from the Philippines, she was so lovely to the staff heading off shift, Thanking them etc. It was lovely to hear.
The jug was tricky to pour so after the first time I did it in the bathroom. Our room 819 I think- the shower leaked a lot on to the floor through the door crack while having a shower, no matter how I angled the shower head. It saturated the bath mat. I should have mentioned it to staff before leaving, but didn't.
