Staff are friendly, accommodating, and efficient. The facilities are beautifully decorated and very clean. The location on the river makes the stay very special.
We've stayed at this hotel many times - excellent stay for special occasions. We recently stayed for a "mini moon" after getting married. The bathrooms are huge - we love the large soaking tub and shower. King bed suite is so comfortable and balcony with nice view. Having a restaurant on site is nice as well.
The last room we stayed I felt the AC unit was loud. Also we left notes that we were celebrating our wedding - and we obviously paid extra for a waterfront view. Our first room we were assigned only had a view of the parking lot and reception tent. We asked to be moved - and front desk was accommodating. Though I feel that if you leave notes like that - especially when we booked this a month or more in advance, it should be understood we want the highest floor and best view possible. Next day there was another front desk employee and they provide us a bottle of champagne and choice of soaking bath salts which was nice!
We stayed as a family with two children under five anticipating the swimming pool for the hot afternoons in Sacramento. It was our stop to and from an out of state destination. Both times the pool was closed! The one leg of a trip they put us in rooms overlooking a wedding with loud music. What a disaster for $300+ rooms. Very disappointing to say the least.
Absolutely loved my stay at The Westin Sacramento Riverfront! This hotel is incredibly beautiful, modern, stylish, and has such a relaxing atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the staff at the front desk were beyond kind, welcoming, and genuinely helpful — they made me feel so special and taken care of.
One of my favorite little details was the variety of water stations in the lobby — such a thoughtful touch and honestly so impressive! The hotel grounds are beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained.
The room was amazing — super cozy, comfortable, stylish, and spotless. Everything felt high-end and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind and truly enjoy the stay.
This was honestly my best experience in Sacramento, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable stay. I will definitely be coming back!
Pretty and clean. Quiet and peaceful. Perfect for the little romantic getaway my husband and I were needing.
I didn’t enjoy walking by piled up room service trays left out in the hall. I thought that was gross and should have been cleaned up. When we arrived the entire 3rd floor hallway was lined up with them. I also didn’t love the spider webs on the balcony. That should have been cleaned up daily with housekeeping as well.
The property is still beautiful. It was warm and sunny when we arrived.
This is Sacramento’s best? This property has seriously declined over the years. Now granted, it is still a beautiful hotel but I have a few complaints about my experience. The entire pool area is out of order. It does not indicate that on the website when we booked. I checked. I was disappointed to not be made aware of that until after we checked in and paid our $200 hold. They make you valet your car which you find out is $52 when you receive your invoice via email the morning of check-out. We arrived to our room at 6:34pm and our room had breakfast food leftover from the previous guests in front of the door. Also, the neighboring room guests were loud so we asked to move. They moved us to the second floor to a room with roof view and even louder traffic. Rather than listening to loud guests, I assume staff thought we preferred to listen to traffic and have a completely obstructed view. The staff were less than friendly when asked to resolve the room issue. I even offered to pay for an upgrade for an elevated experience. I didn’t know that only paying for the King Suite meant being treated like my money was not of value. My final issue was with the TV. Guest services brought up three different remotes and none of them worked. The remote would not work on the TV. After the third attempt, we opted to just use our computer for Netflix.
Very disappointing.
Liked the location and the view
The bathroom floor had obviously not been cleaned, I found many hairs on the floor and when I wiped it with a washcloth, the cloth came away very dirty, the floors hadn't been mopped for more than 1 guest.
We were there for a spa retreat overnight. We used the outdoor hot tub and had lovely spa treatments. Very nice.
There was a rowdy wedding party talking loudly in the hall but the staff got them quieted by 11 pm. For a Sat night, that’s ok. There is a $52 parking fee. Higher than downtown San Francisco. Annoying.
I just stayed 3-nights at the Westin hotel and had a truly wonderful experience. From the valet to Front Desk, everyone showed true hospitality and provided great service. I was upgraded to a very spacious river view room with my Bonvoy elite status. The room was well appointed and the heavenly bed offered a comfortable night's sleep. Breakfast at Scott's was very delicious and the hotel location was perfect for accessing the I-5 freeway. This was a very relaxing stay and I will definitely be coming back when I'm in the Sacramento area.
Great hotel, really nice location on the banks of the river, beautiful grounds and very peaceful considering its in the city. The location with easy access to the interstate makes it perfect for traveling through.
The room was excellent, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I was traveling with a pet so not always easy to make eating arrangements, the hotel went out of its way to help me.
So clean and accommodating. I was very comfortable here. Valet and room service was exceptional! I will only stay here when returning to Sac.
There was nothing to dislike.
Everything!
